Temperature range and usage conditions

The temperature range of the Mummy sleeping bag is specified according to the EN ISO 23537-1 standard

  • T-comfort: 2.4°C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can spend the night comfortably
  • T-limit: -3.1°C – the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep without discomfort
  • T-extreme: -19.6°C – the extreme survival temperature for the sleeping bag, not recommended for regular use

Polyester construction

The outer layer of polyester provides effective protection against abrasion, mechanical damage, and moisture, while the inner polyester lining ensures a pleasant feel against the skin. This makes the sleeping bag suitable for demanding expeditions as well as peaceful nights under the open sky.

Hollow Fibre filling

The sleeping bag is filled with two layers of Hollow Fibre weighing 225 g/m2; these fibres are lightweight and highly compressible. The quilted construction minimises the movement of fibres, ensuring even heat distribution. The insulation returns quickly to its original loft, does not deform, allows air to circulate, and retains its thermal properties even after heavy use, washing, or getting wet. The filling does not cause allergic reactions and is safe for anyone allergic to down.

Two-way zip

The sleeping bag is fitted with a full-length two-way zip secured by a hook-and-loop fastener.

Drawstring hood and shoulder collar

The anatomical hood boosts thermal protection, enveloping the head and preventing heat loss in low temperatures. Its design adds another barrier against wind and damp. The adjustable collar and shoulder area with drawstrings effectively stop cold air from entering the sleeping bag.

Easy transport and storage

The construction allows for easy transport and storage. When folded and compressed, the sleeping bag measures 40 x 25 x 25 cm and weighs 1950 g, making it easy to carry without unnecessary weight in your luggage.

Flecktarn camouflage

Flecktarn is the classic German military camouflage pattern, officially adopted by the Bundeswehr in 1990. It features small, irregular spots in five colours—typically dark green, olive, brown, black, and beige. Its scattered dots and blurred contours are highly effective for concealing a silhouette amongst woodland foliage, undergrowth, or forest floor. The design was created especially with the European climate in mind, particularly the temperate zone. Flecktarn remains the standard for the German armed forces and police, and its effectiveness has led to many adaptations in other countries.

    My previous sleeping bag served me for over a decade, but this new one replaces it perfectly. It is well-made, from a pleasant-to-touch material that doesn't get dirty. I've already spent a few nights in it in the forest and I must admit that even at the specified temperature it works great – it was even too warm for me, as it was about 6 degrees outside and I slept only in shorts, otherwise it would have been too hot. It retains heat very well, I definitely recommend it.

    Whether the minus 10 degrees are realistic, I doubt, but at minus 2 degrees it is pleasantly warm. Together with the MFH bivvy bag, it's a good combo. The zips also work perfectly and don’t snag. The size is perfect and the material also feels pleasant. I can therefore recommend a purchase. Hard to find anything better in this price range.

    The sleeping bag is excellent – in summer you can sleep in it even just in your underwear, without covering yourself with anything else. At the beginning of October, at a temperature of around -1°C, it still ensures a very comfortable sleep. Even my brother, who is always cold, was happy when he used the sleeping bag during finishing work in the house. Packing the sleeping bag into its sack is a separate adventure and quite a workout, as you can really work up a sweat doing it. At this price, I definitely recommend it to everyone who enjoys sleeping in the great outdoors.

    I didn't expect too much for this price. I chose the sleeping bag as the cheapest option in case I needed to sleep at my allotment. As soon as it arrived, I tried it out straight away. It wasn't the best idea because it was over 10 degrees outside and after a few minutes I was completely sweaty :p :p :p. I think it will do well at lower temperatures.
