Camouflage Flecktarn

Flecktarn is a German military camouflage pattern that was officially introduced to the Bundeswehr in 1990. It consists of small, irregular patches in five colours - typically dark green, olive, brown, black, and beige. Due to the dispersion of numerous spots and the blurred boundaries between the colours, Flecktarn effectively blurs the user's silhouette both in the forest and in thickets or against a forest floor backdrop. This camouflage was created with the European climate in mind, especially in the temperate zone. Flecktarn remains the standard pattern for the German army and other military and police formations, and its effectiveness has led to many variations and adaptations in various countries.
