This is my first purchase of Merrell shoes and I'm sure it won't be the last. I've been wearing them for two weeks already and there are no signs of use. I can confirm they are warm – probably not suitable for very hot days.

Synthetic leather, mesh material
The upper is made from a combination of synthetic leather and tear-resistant mesh fabric.
Additional reinforcements on the upper and in the toe area provide additional protection in difficult terrain.
EVA foam insole, Cleansport NXT
The shoes have a breathable and waterproof membrane. The removable insole is made of EVA foam, 50% of which is recycled.
Cleansport NXT is an advanced technology that eliminates unpleasant odours. It uses beneficial bacteria that, when in contact with sweat, release enzymes that neutralise odour-causing bacteria. It keeps shoes fresh throughout their entire life, and bacteria remain on the surface of the material.
Rubber sole, EVA midsole
The Speed Strike 2 model is equipped with a two-layer midsole made of EVA foam, which provides maximum support for the foot, stabilising it perfectly and protecting it from impact.
Stable movement on the terrain is guaranteed by a flexible and abrasion-resistant sole made of durable rubber. It provides great cushioning, and its non-slip texture and deep tread are responsible for very good grip, even on wet or slippery surfaces.
Lacing system, sewn-in tongue
The high sewn-in tongue prevents sand, dust or other debris from entering the shoes, and the lacing system allows for a precise fit. Loops have been placed at the back to make it easy to put on and take off the shoes.

The Merrell Speed Strike 2 LOW - Rock shoes are light, although a bit hard. The manufacturer recommends them for warmer weather, however I tested them in March on warmer days and they were actually a bit too warm for me. I'm curious how they'll perform in the full spring. As for the quality – as you would expect from Merrell, they are excellently made, I have no complaints. The midsole is very soft, and the footwear is comfortable.

The shoes are very comfortable and fit the foot well. They look solid, but aren't heavy. They have been carefully made from high-quality materials. I think they will serve me for a long time.
