They are Mechanix, after all. Outstanding workmanship and stitching as usual, very comfortable to wear and a perfect fit if you choose the right size. Even back in my service days, they were my favourite.
Mechanix Wear Original Core 3 Tactical Gloves - Leather
Universal durable gloves designed to provide basic mechanical protection. With a proper fit, they enable full control of grip and do not restrict performing precise tasks. Suitable for law enforcement personnel, military, individuals engaged in shooting sports, as well as during survival expeditions, automotive workshop work, DIY activities, or airsoft games.
Breathable CoolPlus material, touchscreen compatibility, Lock Ring and Snag-Guard technology
The upper part of the gloves is made from a breathable, lightweight material CoolPlus, which reduces hand sweating and ensures optimal ventilation. The one-piece material construction reduces the number of seams and increases the durability of the gloves. The model features Snag-Guard technology, reducing the risk of snagging and tearing the gloves when working in tight spaces. The durable DuraHide leather, used for the gripping area, provides high resistance when working with heavy tools or various tasks, e.g., on construction sites. The Lock Ring panel protects the critical area around the thumb, increasing the durability of the construction and reducing seams prone to damage.
Strong, adjustable TPR closure, Freedom-Flex cuff, 2-piece palm construction
The cuff is secured with a TPR strap (Thermoplastic Rubber as per EN 13594 standard) using Velcro. The 2-piece inner palm and stitched Freedom-Flex cuff minimise material rolling and accumulation, improving glove fit and ensuring full freedom of movement. The palm's lower part is equipped with ventilated lining, which improves air circulation and protects against injuries.
EN 388-3122X Protective standard
The gloves meet the EN388 protective standard at level 3122X for mechanical resistance, which includes:
- 3: abrasion resistance (scale 0-4)
- 1: cut resistance (scale 0-5)
- 2: tear resistance (scale 0-4)
- 2: puncture resistance (scale 0-4)
- X: cut resistance - TDM test (ISO 13997) (scale A-F)
The scales specified in the EN388 standard define the level of glove protection: a value of 0 means no protection, whereas the highest values (4, 5) indicate maximum resistance.
In TDM (ISO 13997) testing, letter notations are used, where A represents the lowest protection, and F the highest.
Notation X indicates that the particular parameter was not tested or is not applicable.

Great gloves – they have already protected my fingers from mechanical injuries several times, so they fulfil their function perfectly. I think I'll have to order another pair, they're really worth it.

The gloves are really very comfortable and versatile. The range of tasks you can do in them is huge: from heavy stone, bricks and unloading shipments to working in the garden, with cars and various tools. The size L was a bit stiff and tight at first, but literally in a couple of days the leather softened and fit the hand perfectly. The protection is excellent, sensitivity is normal, except that it is not convenient to tighten very small nuts – you'll have to try hard not to drop them. The main downside is the factory glue. I started working in them, and after 5 days the black pad between the thumb and index finger had already begun to peel off – there's no stitching at the edges there at all. And the gloves are new, I haven't even washed them yet. I had to glue it back myself to prevent it from falling off completely (in the attached photo, the glove is already after I re-glued it myself). When buying, I recommend paying close attention to the model photos: it's better to choose an option where this black pad at the bend is NORMALLY STITCHED with threads, not just glued. Then you won't have any problems. For this money, a flaw with the gluing is very unpleasant, and the quality control at the factory disappointed me.

Very good gloves, they fit my hand perfectly and the Velcro fastenings hold very firmly. After three months of frequent use, they still look like new.
-
These famous and durable gloves in Coyote colour are made of synthetic leather, which provides excellent trigger feel, while TrekDry technology effectively protects your hands from overheating. Maximum protection and user comfort!
-
They wear out quickly. They are made of thin material, but I appreciate the fact that they are suitable for precise manual work, even when operating touch screens. Among the several models I tested, the Original version seems to be the most versatile.
-
These gloves are a real hit for off-road riding – exceptionally comfortable, they fit the hand perfectly, and the durable material gives great feel.
-
The gloves look great, well-made, pleasant leather and cut, comfortable on the hand. The fingers might be a bit long, but these are work gloves, after all. Externally, the product is excellent, but only time will tell how they will hold up in use.
-
The gloves are carefully made from high-quality materials, which makes them fit the hand perfectly, look very attractive in reality, and guarantee a secure grip and good feel for the weapon.
-
During shooting training, you can adjust the optics and simultaneously operate the stopwatch on your phone. The gloves fit the hand perfectly and wick away sweat well. I definitely recommend them!
-
Excellent quality gloves which are true to size. I really like the PL woodland camo it seems to blend in well. I own multiple pairs of these gloves and I have never been disappointed with them and I use them for playing airsoft, DIY, and bushcraft stuff.
-
The gloves are of good quality, they fulfil their functions well and fit the hand nicely. The option to fasten them at the wrist is worth mentioning. The only downside is the shade – the colour is a bit darker than the original camouflage pattern.
-
I think this is the fourth time I've bought the same Mechanix gloves. They've never let me down. I definitely recommend them both for manual work and for using a touchscreen on cold days.
-
The gloves are exceptionally sturdy and comfortable, making them perfect for both outdoor use and daily work. The Mechanix Wear Original model in wz.93 Pantera camouflage offers a great fit for the hand and high precision in use, enabling efficient equipment handling. An advantage of these gloves is the use of breathable TrekDry material, which reduces hand sweating, as well as durable synthetic leather ensuring a secure grip and product longevity. Additional reinforcements and the ability to operate touchscreens make these gloves a very practical choice for everyday use and tactical tasks alike.
-
Fit, comfort and practicality are excellent – I don't think there are better gloves in this class for the price. A clear recommendation from me.
