M-Tac folding tactical Anchor

The product is good, the only drawback is transport – it may damage your rucksack due to the lack of a cover. The hook is small, and once hooked on, it holds well. At this price, it’s a sensible choice. It’s worth adding at least a piece of material so it doesn’t tear your rucksack or bag.

Nice, compact, and well-made grappling hook, it's quite sharp, so you can slightly blunt it with a file if that bothers you. Unfortunately, no cover was included, which is a downside. It's also worth buying a screw link to complete the set.

Firstly, a few flaws worth mentioning for objectivity – no pouch included, not even a basic one, and the edges are very sharp and may damage a bag, although thanks to them the anchor holds very well. Advantages include the low price, easy mounting and exceptional durability. It held two adult men without any signs of damage (though I wouldn’t recommend such use). If a pouch were included, even at a higher price, the rating would be maximum. Unfortunately, the lack of a dedicated case means you have to find your own solution, so I subtract one point.

The anchor is very ingeniously folding, made of thick steel sheet. It’s rather meant for overcoming vertical obstacles, but in my case I intend to use it for pulling and mooring a kayak, hooking it onto shore elements. I connected the whole thing with a shackle, to which I hook the rope. I still have to think about a cover, as the edges are sharp.

A compact, heavy and solid anchor that doesn't take up much space when folded. The edges are quite sharp, so it's worth getting a case (which, unfortunately, is missing from the set). Despite this, at this price and quality it can be recommended with a clear conscience.

Brilliant anchor, deserves five stars, but has one big flaw – no solid cover resistant to abrasion. I'm almost sure that if you put it loosely in your rucksack pocket, over time it will ruin the material. So you have to get or sew a case yourself. Besides that, the anchor folds easily and holds very tightly when hung on branches. I haven’t tested the strength, but according to the manufacturer it withstands up to 420 kg, so even two people can hang on it. It comes in a plastic bag and the film on the surface dirties your hands – just clean it. Despite the lack of a pouch, I recommend it, because you never know when it will come in handy.

I've been using this anchor for some time and I'm very pleased with it. It works great for climbing over various obstacles, e.g. walls, fences, branches, etc. Unfortunately, there was an instance where the arm of the anchor bent a bit due to catching with only one arm, but overall the equipment is solid – you just need to use it properly.

Great anchor – it feels solid and durable. However, it's worth getting a case, as being a metal product it could puncture your rucksack if you throw it in loosely. I received the product packed in a plastic bag, and when unpacking, my hands got a bit dirty, as if it was still warm from production. Colour – dark grey, as in the photo with the person in camouflage. Folding and unfolding is very simple. Good to have such equipment because it might come in handy.
