The carbon filters for the LifeStraw Go bottle definitely improve the taste of the water by removing unpleasant odours. I tried them on water from the Nida river and they worked – it's drinkable. The downside is that there isn’t much carbon in the filters, so you have to replace them more frequently, which is why I bought some in reserve.

The filters work brilliantly, it’s already my fourth time buying them. In theory, you can purify 100 litres of water with them, but even after filtering 150 litres there is no problem. It all depends on how contaminated the water is.
