Lansky Multi-Angle D-Sharp Sharpener

I decided to buy the Lansky Multi-Angle D-Sharp sharpener because it was recommended by other users. With survival knives I noticed a clear improvement compared to previous sharpeners. I definitely recommend this product.

Now I wanted to try this model because I heard it works better with harder steels. Yesterday I sharpened a Ka-bar and a Rato knife with it – I'm really satisfied with the results.

Great sharpener, fits well in the hand and is a bit heavier, which gives a feeling of solidity. It's a pity there's no rod for sharpening serrated blades. The price could be a bit better. The shipment was sent very quickly after placing the order.

Lansky is Lansky – it's hard to elaborate on the quality of the sharpener because it's simply very good. A bit heavy, but that's actually an advantage – you can feel it in your hand. The only downside is the lack of a rod for sharpening serrated blades.

The sharpener works great during trips, ideal for quickly touching up equipment during work. However, it can't cope with a completely blunt axe, so it isn't worth buying it for fully sharpening large blades from scratch.

The sharpener is fine, suitable as an emergency or for a backpack on holiday. There aren’t many alternatives on the market other than plates, so as a spare it’s okay.

I want to add to my earlier opinion – the 30 degree sharpener is suitable for sharpening Hultafors HY 10-1,0 SV 1000g axes. Sometimes it gets slightly stuck, but that's no big problem. It sharpened the axe incredibly well.

I have two Lansky sharpeners: Multi-Angle D-Sharp and C-Sharp. As described, the four sharpening slots of C-Sharp are quite aggressive. D-Sharp sharpened knives made from various steels well. I’m not sure if the diamond is already worn out; I only have a minor problem with the 440A blade in a Boker Magnum knife. The rods sometimes rotate during use.

The sharpener works brilliantly, a very good choice. I don't use any other now. Easy to use, suitable for many types of blades. And a diamond one – what more could you want? I recommend it.
