The fleece is less warm than its basic military counterpart and seems more breathable. According to the description, the hood should be large enough to fit a hat underneath, but in practice, this only works without a neck – if you have a neck, the cap of the hood sits on the top of your head. You can try to stretch the hood, but then it pulls tightly at the back of the neck. In my opinion, it’s missing about 7 cm of material. The hood adjustment cord broke after just a week of use. It’s a small thing, but in such a fleece, it doesn’t look very good.

I have been using this fleece for nine months now and I can confidently recommend it. It is comfortable, keeps you very warm and feels pleasant to the touch. Compared to the previous version, it is noticeably more fitted, which should appeal to people with a slimmer figure. It's also thinner, but thanks to the honeycomb-structured lining, I haven't noticed it being any less warm than its predecessor. I use it both when going out in the city and during walks in the forest.

I chose the second version because the new one was too expensive for me. The fleece is very warm and works great during changing, spring weather. It does not resemble an ordinary fleece – inside there is a modern grid, thanks to which it is lighter but still holds heat well. It's worth waiting for a price promotion. The zip is fine, but you need to put in some effort when fastening or unfastening, because the two-way zipper requires precise alignment – that's the only minus. Overall, I recommend it.

The fleece sweatshirt is very comfortable and provides warmth. The material is pleasant to the touch, and the zipper works flawlessly. It is well made, available in nice colours, and at a good price. An additional advantage is that it comes from a Polish manufacturer, which supports the local economy.

I had some doubts about buying this fleece – initially I considered the PRO version, which suited me better for UHS, but in the end I decided on this model. The fleece is quite loose, so if you plan to wear it under a jacket, it’s better to choose a smaller fleece size or a bigger jacket size than usual. It insulates warmth very well, but in stronger winds it’s worth putting a Softshell over it. I’m very satisfied with the product.

I really like this fleece I was originally going to get the mk1 but I wasn't so keen on the hood on that version and I much prefer the smaller hood on the mk2. At 188cm and 105kg the 3XL fits me well. If you're backpacking wearing this fleece is a good option as it is very breathable and there are zippers under the armpits for even more air flow. On cold days when I am doing a less intense activity such as walking the dog I pair this with a water proof jacket which is a very warm set up.

This is already my second mk2. It works great on cooler, but not very cold days, it's very practical and has roomy pockets. It doesn't warm as much as the first version of the Patriot, but it's warm enough. It would be nice if Helikon released a version without a hood.

Great material and quality of stitching. It insulates heat excellently, and the pocket arrangement is perfect – congratulations to Helikon. Size M fits perfectly for a height of 180 cm and a chest circumference of 100 cm.

It is very breathable, which is great for moisture wicking during activity, although for some people this can be both an advantage and a drawback. No Velcro at the cuffs is a plus, and the smaller hood works well with a climbing helmet. The large number of pockets increases practicality, and the additional ventilation on the sleeves is a big advantage. The careful interior finish shows attention to detail and gives the product a high quality that matches the price.
