Helikon-Tex General Purpose Cargo Pouch Pocket - MultiCam

Cargo pouch is made of abrasion- and tear-resistant 500D Cordura in MultiCam camouflage. The pouch is closed with a YKK zip. Inside, there is a velcro panel compatible with the Versatile Insert System, allowing organisers to be mounted, as well as elastic webbing responsible for better stabilisation of carried accessories. On the front, there are MOLLE webbing straps that allow additional elements to be attached.

Access to the inside of the pouch is provided by a two-way zip. Pull tabs have been used on the ends of the sliders to make opening and closing easier, which is especially useful when working in gloves. Inside, there is a velcro panel compatible with the Versatile Insert System, allowing organisers to be mounted, as well as elastic webbing responsible for better stabilisation of carried accessories. The pouch is also equipped with a cord loop for attaching smaller items.

The attachment system is based on straps compatible with the MOLLE/PALS system, so the pouch can be attached to a vest, backpack, or belt. Additional MOLLE webbing on the front allows more elements to be mounted.

MultiCam camouflage

MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in cooperation with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior programme. Its purpose was to create a universal camouflage pattern effective in diverse terrain and changing environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colours, creating gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. Thanks to this, it effectively adapts to the background, taking on green tones in forested areas and brown and beige tones in desert regions - in the conditions of Central and Eastern Europe, it performs particularly well in autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained worldwide recognition and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage pattern was officially adopted by the British Army as the pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the earlier Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.

    A practical, small pouch that can be attached either to the side of a rucksack or to a hip belt if you want quick access to it. Despite its compact size, it is quite roomy, and it is also made of Cordura. The hook-and-loop panel inside is a well-thought-out solution because it makes it possible to buy additional holders. The RAL 7013 colour matches well with a Wisport rucksack in the same shade.

    I’ve had this pouch for quite a while now and I’m pleased with it. The attachment system is really well designed. It fits perfectly on the sides of the Helikon Raccon MK2 rucksack. Its capacity is also just right—not too small and not too large. If I needed one again, I would buy it again without hesitation.

    The pouch is solidly and neatly stitched, and the zips work smoothly without snagging. On the bottom there is a small opening with a metal eyelet, which is probably meant to drain water. However, this is a minor drawback, because dirt or moisture can also get inside through it. The MOLLE system is well made. The pouch is very spacious, and inside it has two elastic straps. The entire inner back panel is lined with soft hook-and-loop, so organisers can be attached. I have this version in camouflage, and I’m very satisfied with it.

    The pocket has been made properly and looks pretty good. A plus are the short molle straps, which are characteristic of Helikon. Unfortunately, a big downside is the loud plastic back stiffening. If someone doesn't mind the occasional creaking, overall the product is fine.
