The Army Combat Uniform (ACU) hat features four vents with a grille to prevent insects from entering. The wide brim provides excellent protection from the sun and rain. It has an adjustable length cord for clipping under the neck.
A ribbon has been sewn above the brim so that we can attach handy trinkets (e.g. insect repellent, camouflage items) to the hat.
Made of high-quality PoliCotton RipStop fabric (60% cotton, 40% polyester), which is highly resistant to abrasion and tearing, and is also lighter and dries faster than 100% cotton material.
The hat is made in Universal Camouflage Pattern, which are used by line troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Camouflage UCP
UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern) is a digital camouflage pattern introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as a successor to US Woodland and Desert. It combines camouflage functions in various environments - forest, desert and urban - which is why shades of green and beige are combined with gray. The spot arrangement is based on the MARPAT pattern, and the pastel, low-contrast colors create a pixelated micro-pattern that blends well into the environment at short distances but merges into a uniform silhouette at greater distances. UCP showed high effectiveness in infrared, which contributed to its introduction, but it was eventually replaced by OCP camouflage based on the MultiCam pattern.

This is already my next hat from this company – solidly made, perfect for heat and rain. At this price, you won’t find anything better.

I recommend it for hot days – it provides good protection from the sun, is very comfortable, and made of good material. I bought two in different camouflage patterns.

I've been using it in the mountains for years and there are no signs of wear. It's worth spraying the hat with a water-repellent agent, it comes in very handy during unexpected rain.

Well sewn, with quite a stiff brim, the whole hat keeps its shape. If you're lying in the woods, it's worth having it on your head – it protects against branches and cobwebs, especially when picking mushrooms in autumn when they are everywhere.
