The Army Combat Uniform (ACU) cap is equipped with four vents featuring grilles to keep insects out. Its wide brim offers exceptional protection from both the sun and rain. An adjustable cord allows for securing the hat under the chin.
A ribbon is stitched above the brim to attach useful items, such as insect repellents or camouflage accessories, to the hat.
Constructed from top-grade PoliCotton RipStop fabric (60% cotton, 40% polyester), it is highly resistant to wear and tear while being lighter and drying more quickly than a fabric made entirely of cotton.
The hat comes in the Universal Camouflage Pattern used by frontline troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern) is a digital camouflage design launched in the early 21st century to replace the US Woodland and Desert patterns. It integrates camouflage capabilities for diverse settings, including forest, desert, and urban areas, by combining shades of green and beige with gray. The arrangement of spots is inspired by the MARPAT pattern, and its pastel, low-contrast hues form a pixelated micro-pattern, which effectively blends into surroundings at close range, but turns into a unified silhouette from a distance. UCP demonstrated high efficiency in infrared detection, which aided its adoption; however, it was eventually superseded by the OCP camouflage rooted in the MultiCam pattern.

I recommend it for hot days – it provides good protection from the sun, is very comfortable, and made from good material. I bought two in different camouflage patterns.

I've been using it in the mountains for years and there are no signs of wear. It's worth spraying the hat with a water-repellent spray, it comes in very handy during unexpected rain.

Well-sewn, with a fairly stiff brim, the whole hat keeps its shape. While lying in the forest, it's worth having it on your head – it protects against branches and spider webs, especially when collecting mushrooms in autumn when they're everywhere.
