Temperatures and usage conditions
Svalbard sleeping bag temperatures according to EN 13537 standard:
- T-comfort: 3 C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably all night,
- T-limit: -2 C – the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -17 C – the lowest temperature at which survival is possible. Not recommended for regular use.
10D Rip-Stop nylon with Water Repellent coating
Lightweight 10D Rip-Stop nylon with WR (Water Repellent) coating is used both inside and outside. The treated fabric reduces moisture absorption. Inside there is a small pocket for essentials and loops for attaching an additional thermal liner.
Duck down filling, H-shaped construction
Thermal insulation and proper air circulation are provided by European duck down and feathers in a 92/8 ratio. With a loft of 800 cuin, the down compresses efficiently, making packing easier. The DuPont hydrophobic treatment minimizes moisture absorption. H-shaped baffles prevent the down from shifting. The drawcord footbox includes an additional layer of insulation for extra warmth around the feet.
Left zipper, Anti-Bite system
The model features a two-way zipper on the left side, allowing full opening and easy access. A fluorescent puller makes it easier to use the zipper in the dark. The Anti-Bite system prevents the fabric from getting caught in the zipper. A thermal baffle is sewn inside for added insulation.
Integrated hood for warmth, DUO drawcord
The three-dimensional hood improves head insulation and shields against wind and moisture. The Duo system combines elastic and strap – the elastic around the neck allows hand movement without adjustment, while the back strap allows quick tightening during nighttime use.
Easy transport and storage
Compact packed size of 26 x 17 cm and low weight of 610 g make the sleeping bag easy to carry in a backpack without adding significant bulk.
