Esbit Sculptor Food Jug 1 l - Stone Gray

A 1-liter capacity thermos designed to carry food, made of high-quality, BPA-free stainless steel. The matte, non-slip coating provides a secure grip, even with thick gloves. The wide filler makes it easy to both fill and wash the thermos.

The model is equipped with effective thermal insulation, which works well for both hot and cold meals, and also provides high resistance to mechanical damage.

To make the most of the insulating properties, the manufacturer - Esbit - recommends “formatting” the thermos before use. When carrying hot meals, fill the thermos with hot water for about 4 minutes, then pour out the water and place the food. Similarly, for cold foods, it is a good idea to fill the thermos with very cold water before using it. This will keep the desired temperature longer.

The thermos uses a safety valve built into the cap. Pushing it in before unscrewing releases excess pressure, which virtually eliminates the risk of “shooting” the cap or hot steam, preventing spilling the contents.

A thermal test (with 98ºC water) showed that the temperature of the contents was:
* after 6 hours: 70ºC
* after 12 hours: 60ºC
* after 24 hours: 40ºC
The test was conducted at an ambient temperature of 20ºC (+/- 2ºC).
