Eberlestock Romad Backpack 25 l - MultiCam

A backpack with a capacity of 25 litres in MultiCam camouflage, made from abrasion- and damage-resistant 500D nylon reinforced with a Rip-Stop weave. The design was developed for communications system operators, soldiers, and users looking for equipment for field operations.

The backpack is made from 500D nylon, which stands out for its high durability, making it suitable for intensive use. The fabric reinforcement with a Rip-Stop weave limits fraying and tearing even in the event of localised damage. The material is coated with a DWR coating, providing additional protection against moisture and dirt.

The wide U-shaped opening of the main compartment, running almost the full length of the backpack, improves gear organisation and provides quick access to needed items without searching through the interior. Inside, there is also a separate pocket for a hydration bladder. In addition, the interior is equipped with numerous PALS webbing straps and velcro, allowing the attachment of accessories compatible with the MOLLE system or equipped with velcro panels.

On the sides there are elastic pockets that make it easier to carry water bottles and other small pieces of equipment. On the front of the backpack there are two zipped organiser pockets. The upper one is intended for items that require quick access, such as documents, maps, notebooks, or small accessories. The lower pocket is padded, making it suitable for carrying night vision devices, hearing protectors, and other delicate equipment.

The model features numerous MOLLE system webbing straps for attaching additional equipment. The rectangular front velcro panel allows you to attach any patch or emblem, for example a national flag, unit insignia, or so-called Morale Patches.

Proper reinforcement of the structure is provided by an internal frame made from an HDPE sheet. This solution increases the backpack's stiffness, improves weight distribution, and enhances carrying comfort under heavier loads. As a result, the backpack remains stable even during dynamic movement.

The shoulder straps are equipped with webbing, allowing for secure routing of radio cables, headset cords, and hydration system hoses. The carry system is complemented by ergonomic panels made of breathable air-mesh, which improve ventilation and reduce moisture build-up during many hours of use.

MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in cooperation with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior programme. Its goal was to create a universal camouflage pattern effective in varied terrain and changing environmental conditions.

The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colours that create gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. Thanks to this, it adapts to the background, taking on green tones in woodland terrain and brown and beige tones in desert regions - in Central and Eastern European conditions it is particularly effective in autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained recognition worldwide and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially adopted by the US Army as the pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the earlier Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
