Very satisfied – the reviews here weren’t lying. The backpack looks really good, it’s high-quality and versatile... I’ve already tried it for both hiking and walking around town. What surprised me at first is that the main compartment isn’t as big as it seems from the outside, but the front compartment actually has almost the same volume... this isn’t a problem at all, you just have to get used to it – you can easily fit even larger gear into the front pocket (this is different compared to other tactical backpacks, which usually have a deep main compartment and a small front one). I was a bit concerned about the colour – the coyote shade, but it’s actually brown (it’s not coyote tan!). A big plus are the side bottle holders, as even a 1.5l PET bottle fits there securely, and you can access the bottle without taking off the backpack (tested with a 0.75l bottle), which is the biggest top feature for me during marches. I also rate the often-criticised hip belt positively... even though it’s quite narrow and unpadded (compared to the enlarged 30l version), it gives noticeable support when rucking.

+pro: As is usual with Direct Action, this is absolute pro equipment and in my opinion, it is in no way inferior to top-tier brands. The colour (Ranger Green) is perfect for urban use and missions. There are many really well-thought-out small compartments and pockets, various loops inside the rucksack, not to mention countless attachment options on the outside. The overall geometry and the side pockets with Molle are also top-notch. The shoulder and back system is unmatched among daypacks. All straps hold when adjusted; nothing slips, unlike with the 5.11 Rush, for example. -con: Nothing to complain about.

I really like this pack. Build quality feels excellent — sturdy and well-made, the kind of bag that should survive outdoor use for years. A couple of minor drawbacks keep it from a perfect score. First, the compression straps on the bottom: the plastic buckles can’t be removed or stowed away cleanly, so the bag ends up resting on them whenever you set it down. Second, it runs a little tighter than other packs of a similar stated volume. That depends on what you carry — soft gear packs fine, but once you add a laptop, notebooks, a rain jacket and a bit of other equipment, it fills up quickly. The front compartment swallows the most volume, but once that’s full the middle compartment gets cramped. To be fair, this isn’t meant to be an urban office bag, and for its intended purpose it does exactly what it should. Very happy with it overall — four stars, with the bottom buckle design as the main area for improvement.

I was considering buying this model as well as the Wisport MK2 30 L. This backpack has better reviews, and I had previously used a Wisport with a 40-litre capacity. The hip belt does not work very well. In the end, I chose the Dragon Egg and I am happy with it.

Great backpack, everything is perfectly planned. Sturdy material, many compartments, reinforced back, a separate laptop compartment, and roll-away, hidden straps. It's just a pity there aren't two-tone versions, as they would look fantastic. Unfortunately, the price is very high.

The Dragon Egg Mk. II is an excellent EDC and tactical backpack – compact in size, yet offering plenty of space, featuring a laser-cut MOLLE system and brilliantly designed shoulder straps. It works great both in the city and for shorter trips. Solid, well thought out and definitely worth its price.

The description of the backpack is inaccurate. No laptop with a 15.4-15.6 inch screen will fit into the back pocket, it's physically impossible. It's a shame because that's what I was hoping for, and I was disappointed. However, the workmanship, materials and overall quality are outstanding. The backpack itself is smaller than I expected.

The backpack is distinguished by excellent quality. I chose it mainly because of the dedicated laptop compartment, which is located on the back side and can accommodate both a laptop and a tablet. Additionally, there is a strap that keeps your equipment secure. The backpack has many different compartments, is very spacious and thoughtfully designed. The handle, hip belt and chest strap are strong and durable. Side pockets with velcro, the possibility of tightening the sides with straps and the option to mount additional equipment are great advantages. A downside could be the weight – 1600g, which is noticeable. However, the perforated back panel, sturdy handle and high quality compensate for this inconvenience.

Good morning! I have been using the backpack for a few days, but it already brings me a lot of satisfaction. I really like it in the Shadow Grey shade, it looks fashionable. Although it’s a tactical backpack, it doesn’t look aggressive or intimidating. The many pockets allow convenient organisation of things. It's durable, has good zips, and the side pockets are elastic – that's a great solution. The laptop fits easily, and a 1L Nalgene bottle fits perfectly into the side pockets.
