The hat is perfect for wearing under a helmet. If you use it on its own, it protects against the wind and works well on cold days (probably not for severe frost), although in my opinion it wasn't intended for this purpose. When my wife saw me in it for the first time, she said I looked like I was wearing a swimming cap.

An excellent hat, very warm, good insulation, and at the same time your head doesn't sweat in it. It has a flexible material, so it fits even larger heads. Works great with active headphones at the shooting range, it's practically unnoticeable while wearing and effectively protects from the wind.
