Demar Caribou PRO Boots - Olive Brown

I bought them in winter; the manufacturer claims they are durable up to -50°C, but at -35°C they only keep warm up to -10°C for an hour, then my feet start to get cold. They absorb moisture quickly. At this price, they were not worth buying.

Footwear made for winter. Excellent quality leather, rubber front, which makes them completely waterproof. Very comfortable and perfectly protects against the cold.

I highly recommend them! Even at the price of 439 PLN from the manufacturer. A big plus is that it's a Polish product. I also appreciate the removable liner and wool insoles, which make drying and cleaning easier. The shoes are spacious – the manufacturer has allowed space for thick socks. I usually wear 41, I also took Demary Caribou PRO in 41 for very cold conditions. I recommend adding an extra wool insole with an aluminium foil layer (cost about 13 PLN), which improves thermal comfort when standing on snow for a long time. The boot is soft, so for very long mountain trips it may not be suitable. If someone wants to use the boots every day with thin socks, it's worth considering a size smaller.

Great shoes. Unfortunately, I ordered a size that was too large and had to exchange them. It's a pity I didn't buy them earlier. Light, yet sturdy. Best regards.

I'd like to share my opinion – I bought the boots for use in the trenches. I expected comfort in wet and harsh conditions and for them to provide warmth in the cold. Not yet tested in severe frosts, but in damp weather, moisture collects inside and it becomes uncomfortable. The wool insole is not the best for outdoor conditions as it soaks up water and is difficult to dry. The sole with a deep tread, in my opinion, doesn't grip that well – other boots in this class are less slippery. For this price, I expected more. Maybe my opinion will change after trying them in very low temperatures, but for now, I would call them average.

The shoes are really warm and sturdy. The materials feel of very good quality. During a long walk at -12°C through snowdrifts they were comfortable and warm for both the feet and calves. I think they'll perform well even in more severe frosts. I recommend them.
