Demar Caribou PRO Boots - Olive Brown

I bought them in winter; the manufacturer claims they can withstand up to -50°C, but currently at -35°C they hold up to -10°C for about an hour, then my feet start to get cold. They absorb moisture quickly. At this price, they were not worth buying.

Footwear practically made for winter. Excellent quality leather, rubber front, making them fully waterproof. Very comfortable and excellent at protecting against the cold.

I definitely recommend them! Even at the price of 439 PLN from the manufacturer. A huge plus is that it’s a Polish product. I also appreciate the removable boot liner and wool insoles, which make drying and cleaning easier. The boots are spacious – the manufacturer made room for thick socks. I usually wear size 41, and I also took 41 for the Demar Caribou PRO for very cold conditions. I recommend adding an extra wool insole with an aluminum layer (costs about 13 PLN), which improves thermal comfort when standing on snow for long periods. The boot is soft, so it may not be suitable for very long mountain hikes. If you plan to wear the boots daily with thin socks, consider choosing a smaller size.

Great shoes. Unfortunately, I ordered a size too large and had to exchange them. It's a shame I didn't buy them sooner. They're lightweight yet sturdy. Greetings.

I would like to share my opinion – I bought these boots for the trenches. I was expecting comfort in wet and tough conditions, and that they would provide warmth in freezing weather. I haven’t tested them in extreme cold yet, but in damp weather, moisture accumulates inside and it becomes uncomfortable. The wool insole is not the best for outdoor conditions because it soaks up water and is hard to dry. In my opinion, the sole with deep tread doesn’t have the best grip – other boots in this class are less slippery. For the price, I expected more. Maybe my opinion will change after testing them in very low temperatures, but for now, I’d say they are average.

The shoes are really warm and sturdy. The materials seem to be very high quality. During a long hike at -12°C through deep snow, my feet and calves were comfortable and warm. I think they’ll perform well even in colder temperatures. I recommend them.
