The cover is solid and doesn't give the impression of being a cheap product. It has strong, reinforced edges, which is important because the dedicated shovel is quite sharp. The shovel fits tightly, but without any problem, and remains stable inside. At the back, there is a wide belt loop running the full length of the cover, finished as shown in the photos. If you are planning to buy a Cold Steel entrenching tool, it is worth considering this cover.
