Great kitchen knife, since I got it, I haven’t used any other knives. It has a comfortable, non-slip handle, good balance, and a well-shaped blade. It is very comfortable to cut with and is truly versatile. 4116 steel is quite solid (although some joke that it’s too soft). You’d think a knife is a simple thing, but the details make a big difference – the C.S. company really knows what they’re doing. It handles slicing tomatoes with no problem. A sheath is included, so you can easily take it camping and prepare meals outdoors.

A comfortable knife for everyday use in the kitchen. It is easy to sharpen and stays sharp for a long time. It's worth trying – for me, it worked very well as a complement to my other knives.

Very decent cleaver, solid workmanship and attractive price. I needed such a tool for occasional use and it perfectly fulfils its function.

Great for slicing meat. The blade has just the right width and thickness for this kind of work. The handle is comfortable and doesn't slip out of a wet hand. The steel is easy to sharpen. I definitely recommend it.

It’s perfect as a touring kitchen knife. The wide blade and thin profile are fantastic for slicing and chopping. At home, it complements a larger chef’s knife well. It's durable and can handle basic outdoor tasks. The steel is practically rustproof and easy to sharpen. Excellent quality at a good price.

It all depends on your preferences – for me it's a bit too heavy for a kitchen knife. However, it's worth trying it out for yourself.

I have this knife in my collection, it's hard to find another use for it in the kitchen apart from slicing beef. The build quality is fine, but I wouldn't buy it again.

I think that Cold Steel filleting knives are excellent! This 8-inch model is very long and has been a great addition to my kitchen set. However, I usually use a shorter knife for filleting, so that's my suggestion for people starting their filleting adventure.
