The dressing was delivered quickly and matches the description. Modern gauze in the form of a dressing coated with Celox hemostatic preparation with chitosan. It is designed for first aid and quick stoppage of life-threatening hemorrhages. It will find application in rescue, during disaster recovery, and most importantly during battlefield operations. For proper and safe use of the dressing, prior training is required.
The dressing is a good choice.
Celox Rapid is distinguished among other hemostatic dressings by the fact that it works independently of blood clotting factors. It allows to stop bleeding, even in the case of reduced platelet count. It also works in severe hypothermia, even when the blood temperature drops below 18.5 C.

A special substance contained in the dressings - chitosan - causes hemostasis by closing off bleeding sites by forming a rapid clot on contact with blood. The clot forms about 2-3 minutes after application and does not dissolve, even after washing the wound with saline.
The clot has a germicidal effect, does not cause exothermic reactions, does not cause burning, and does not stick to the wound.
The sterile package contains one strip of gauze measuring 7.6 cm x 1.5 m.

Celox Medical Rapid is an effective haemostatic dressing that can be very helpful in emergencies. A haemostatic dressing should be in every first aid kit intended for the shooting range. Celox Medical Rapid is characterised by its fast effect, so it is worth choosing this product. Furthermore, it takes up little space in the first aid kit. I recommend it.
