Celox Medical Rapid haemostatic dressing

A modern dressing made of gauze, coated with Celox hemostatic chitosan formula, is intended for first aid in rapid cessation of life-threatening bleeding. Ideal for rescue missions, disaster recovery, and crucially in combat scenarios. Prior training is necessary for its safe and appropriate application.

Celox Rapid stands out among other hemostatic dressings due to its ability to function independently of blood clotting factors, enabling it to halt bleeding even with low platelet counts. It functions effectively in extreme hypothermia, even when blood temperatures are below 18.5 C.

The dressings contain a special substance - chitosan - which achieves hemostasis by sealing bleeding sites through rapid clot formation upon contact with blood. The clot forms within 2-3 minutes of application and remains intact even after rinsing the wound with saline.

This clot is germicidal, does not cause exothermic reactions or burning, nor does it adhere to the wound.



The sterile pack includes a single strip of gauze measuring 7.6 cm x 1.5 m.
