Bushnell H2O 8x42 Roof Binoculars – Dark Blue
The Bushnell H2O series includes fully waterproof binoculars with bodies covered in a rubber Soft Texture Grip coating, providing a stable grip and protection against shocks and falls from a small height. H2O models are perfectly suited for water sports enthusiasts and other users who want to use binoculars in any conditions, without fear of them getting wet, dirty, or fogged up inside. Roof prisms allow for a compact design that easily fits in a small bag.
anti-reflective coatings
The glass used in the model, BaK-4, is top-class optical glass from which the binocular prisms are made. Prisms made of this BaK-4 glass provide a bright and clear image, surpassing binoculars with prisms made from cheaper BK-7 optical glass.
The lenses are coated with FMC (Fully Multi-Coated) anti-reflective coatings, ensuring that all air-glass boundaries are multiply coated with anti-reflective coatings, minimising unwanted reflections and light losses in the optical system. The binocular tubes are filled with dry nitrogen and sealed with o-rings, preventing internal fogging of optics and protecting against rain, dust, and brief submersion.
Robust construction, Soft Texture Grip
Effortless and quick focus adjustment is done via a central knob. The model also has adjustable eyecups and a diopter on the right eyepiece to compensate for differences between the user's left and right eyes. The tubes are covered with a rubber Soft Texture Grip coating featuring a soft, non-slip surface, guaranteeing a secure grip in all conditions and shock and low-height fall absorption. The binoculars are waterproof in IPX7 standard (submersion in water for up to 30 minutes to a depth of up to 1 metre).
The model is also equipped with a threaded socket (1/4-20UNC), which, with the appropriate adapter, allows the binoculars to be mounted on a tripod.
