The fire starter works well, you just need to get the hang of using it. Combined with the case, it can even be used as a kubotan. It's worth avoiding contact with moisture, as the metal can rust. I can recommend the fire starter itself.
Badger Outdoor Multifire Flint
Fire steel compact flint with a simple design and long life - up to several thousand uses. It will be perfect for camping, survival trips and emergency situations. It will make it easier to light fires, start gas or tourist stoves, providing a reliable source of heat and a way to prepare meals in the field.
Ferrocerium - a reliable source of fire
Fire steel is equipped with a durable rod made of ferrocerium (a special metal alloy) with a length of 60 mm and a diameter of 8 mm, which ensures long-lasting use and ease of use. A single vigorous pull of the spark rod is enough to generate a dense stream of sparks that will effectively ignite a flame on the prepared fire starter - the cerium contained in the rod oxidizes and spontaneously ignites.
The rod generates sparks with a temperature of up to 3,000 degrees C, which makes it possible to effectively light a fire even in extreme conditions, such as rain or frost.
ISKROWER WITH LINE, OPENER and compass
The kit comes with a metal spark igniter in the form of a tin with a serrated edge, which effectively generates sparks. In addition, the fire steel is equipped with a bottle opener, a ruler on the spark gap and a built-in compass, making it an even more functional tool.
Easy to use, Convenient to carry
Thanks to the ability to hide the rod in the case, the flint takes up little space, becomes more handy and protects the rod from damage, abrasion and dirt. Use is convenient both with gloves and bare hands.
The whole thing is suspended from a ball chain, which allows easy carrying around the neck or attaching it to equipment.

I’m not giving the highest rating because the chain was broken. I don’t know if it's meant to be like that or if its length is suitable. Apart from that, everything OK.
-
Good fire starter, easy to light a fire with it. Great value for money. In reality it's bigger than in the photos. The compass isn’t great, it's just there – but the fire starter itself I definitely recommend.
-
The fire starter produces nice sparks, and the compass points correctly. The only downside – the chain on the scraper could be longer. Because of the metal case, the fire starter is quite heavy, but stable and fits well in the hand.
-
The fire starter is really nice, I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering getting one. The small compass is a cool addition. It's not only functional, but also stylish.
-
I probably don’t quite know how to use it, because I had trouble making sparks, but from the comments it seems the plate is of poor quality, so that’s the reason. You can always have a knife handy, especially when camping. The chain is practical, and the possibility to store the fire starter is the main reason I bought it.
-
The fire starter is solidly made. The metal cover protects effectively against accidental use. I treat the compass more as a curiosity, although it might come in handy one day. The chain is rather weak, better to replace it with something stronger. Overall it works well as survival or camping gear.
-
Well-made fire starter, thanks to the thick rod it lasts a long time. The bottle opener and ruler on the scraper, as well as the practical compass, are interesting extras.
-
A fire starter is an accessory everyone should have at least one of. It's always reliable, unlike lighters or matches, and it costs little.
-
I've been using this fire starter for several years – it works great for lighting the fireplace, as well as a campfire or barbecue during May outings. It produces a lot of sparks, I really recommend it. It's worth having it with you.
-
The fire starter is easy to use and works well for lighting fires. The price-to-quality ratio is very good. It looks smaller in the pictures than it actually is. The compass does not impress, but I definitely recommend the fire starter itself.
-
The fire starter is worth its price. A major advantage is the aluminium case, which protects the rod from damage. Generates lots of sparks, but it's better to use a knife instead of the supplied scraper. To my surprise, the compass works properly.
-
Decent fire starter. It's worth sanding down the plate from the set on one side, then it sparks well. In the photos it seems much smaller than it is in reality. The compass, at least in my case, works flawlessly.
-
Very good value for money. You can easily get sparks and light something. The rod sometimes unscrews, but it can easily be fixed with glue. The only drawback – the metal plate, which works poorly compared to a knife. I’m taking off a star because with products with added features I expect a perfect base, but here the plate is disappointing despite its neat appearance.
-
It has its flaws, but for this price it's fine. The fire starter works well and produces many sparks – but a knife works better than the included scraper. The little compass works correctly. I recommend it.
