Compared to a folding entrenching tool, this one is a real tough guy – plenty of solid metal and strong wood. It handles digging and hitting the ground with no problem. It's very durable. Only the paint wears off, but apart from that everything is fine.

The entrenching tool is lightweight, solid and comfortable to carry. The blade, made from strong carbon steel, easily goes into the ground and the beech handle sits securely in the hand. It's an excellent choice for camping or outdoor work.

The entrenching tool proved itself at a scout camp. After two weeks of fairly intensive use, it still looks like new – and the youngsters really tried to break it. It seems very solid. It’s the perfect size to store in the car or attach to a backpack. I definitely recommend it.

Very nice, lightweight shovel which isn't sharpened from the start, which is an advantage if you want to keep it in your car, and even after sharpening it quickly becomes blunt. The handle is factory lacquered – I suggest sanding it a little with fine sandpaper and treating it with some oil, for example Danish oil, which improves the grip. You can also make a gentle texturing, which further enhances the grip. In its price range, I haven't found a better option.

This is definitely a tool you can trust. A year ago, I bought a folding entrenching tool from a well-known brand – I won't mention the name, but it's popular – and after the first use in sand, it broke. Sand got into the thread and I was only able to unscrew it at home with tools, which defeats the purpose of a portable entrenching tool. The Badger model is simple in construction, making it resistant to everything. Additionally, the welded handle, thick plate, reinforced profile and durable lacquered coating make it a reliable tool. If you need a solid entrenching tool for any occasion, choose the Badger model.

Without a doubt, this is one of the most solid entrenching tools. The handle is a single piece, so there's no risk of it breaking, and the very thick plate makes it nearly indestructible. It may be a bit heavier than other models, but it guarantees reliability even in the toughest situations.

Great entrenching tool. Unlike folding models, this one can be used to dig trenches without risk of damage. If something happens to the handle, it can be replaced even in the field, which wouldn't be possible with a folding shovel. I'll see how it performs during summer digs :D

Overall, the entrenching tool works brilliantly. I've used it for throwing, chopping wood, preparing campfires and shovelling embers. Of course, I've also dug with it. The handle is slightly burnt because a friend fried bacon and flatbreads on it, but despite that the equipment works great. In an emergency, it could even serve for self-defence in a trench.
