Compared to a folding entrenching tool, this one is a real tough guy – lots of solid metal and sturdy wood. It easily handles digging and hitting the ground. It's very durable. The only downside is the paint wears off, but otherwise everything is fine.

The entrenching tool is lightweight, solid, and comfortable to carry. The blade, made of strong carbon steel, easily sinks into the ground, and the beech wood handle sits securely in the hand. It's an excellent choice for camping or outdoor work.

The entrenching tool proved itself at a scout camp. After two weeks of fairly intense use, it still looks like new—and the youth really tried to destroy it. It seems very solid. It's the perfect size to store in the car or attach to a backpack. Definitely recommend.

A very nice, lightweight shovel that is not sharpened out of the box, which is an advantage if you want to keep it in your car. Once sharpened, it dulls quickly anyway. The handle is lacquered at the factory—I suggest sanding it a bit with fine sandpaper and treating it with some oil, such as Danish oil, which improves grip. You can also add a slight texture to improve grip even more. In its price range, I couldn't find a better option.

A year ago, I bought a folding entrenching tool from a well-known brand—won't mention the name, but it's popular—and after the first use in sand, it stopped working. Sand got into the thread, and I could only unscrew it at home using tools, which defeats the whole idea of a field entrenching tool. The Badger is simple in design, making it durable for anything. Additionally, the welded handle, thick blade, reinforced profile, and durable lacquer coating make it a reliable tool. If you need a solid entrenching tool for any occasion, choose the Badger model.

Without a doubt, this is one of the most solid entrenching tools. The handle is one piece, so there's no risk of it breaking, and the very thick blade means it's almost impossible to wear out. It might be a bit heavier than other models, but it guarantees reliability even in the toughest moments.

Great entrenching tool. Unlike folding models, you can dig trenches with this one without risk of breaking it. If something happens to the handle, you can replace it even in the field, which you couldn't do with a folding model. I'll see how it works during summer digs :D

Overall, the entrenching tool performs excellently. I used it for throwing, chopping wood, preparing a campfire, and moving embers. Of course, I also used it for digging. The handle is slightly burnt because a friend cooked bacon and bread on it, but despite that the tool works great. In case of danger, it could even be used for defense in a trench.
