Badger Outdoor Fireblock fire starter at this price is really worth considering, and for sparking it's better to use a knife because the included plate doesn't do so well.
Badger Outdoor Fireblock Fire Starter

Small, lightweight, and works properly. The sparks are at a good level. I haven't tried the magnesium yet – from the reviews, I see it's better not to test it at home due to the smoke. Better to have it than not – it will work in emergency situations as a reliable source of fire, I recommend buying it.
-
The chain is clearly too short, but apart from that I have no other complaints. It lights a fire very well, great even for beginners. You can never have too many fire starters – I recommend it!
-
The chain that holds the plate is definitely too short. The narrow rod probably won’t last long. To light a fire with this firesteel, you need some practice and proper technique if you haven't used such equipment before. I bought it to help my son start fires, and he’s been successful at it.

The firesteel is fine, gives good sparks. However, the chain holding the metal plate is definitely too short, and the plate itself is too soft and bends easily.

Thanks to this fire starter, you can light a campfire even after getting out of water. The magnesium is very efficient, and after scraping off some shavings it produces a strong flame, which easily ignites finely chopped wood. I recommend it! Small but produces a big flame. I don't recommend using it indoors because the shavings leave a lot of soot and it takes a lot of cleaning afterwards.
-
The firesteel is decent, light, and quite small, so you can take it anywhere. The plate is okay, but it's easiest to spark with the back of a knife. The rod isn't big, but the plus is the block of magnesium you can scrape off and use as tinder.
-
With the included plate, the firesteel provides a good shower of sparks. The rod is narrow and probably won’t last long, but nonetheless it lets you efficiently light a fire.
-
Very good value for money. Plenty of magnesium, the stick isn’t very thick but quite decent. A great idea for a gift for an outdoor enthusiast. Doesn’t take up much space and works reliably. I recommend it.
-
When choosing a cheaper firesteel, remember that a low price doesn't always mean lower quality. Some cheaper models work well enough, though they can be less durable or efficient in various conditions. I put this firesteel among the good and cheap products – it's easy to use and quickly allows you to light a fire.
-
This is my second firesteel of this type – works well and the included plate is handy for scraping magnesium. The firesteel’s core is about 4 mm in diameter and is embeded in magnesium, so it's not very efficient for long-term use, but for the price it’s fine. I recommend it.
-
This is my first fire starter for lighting fires. At first, I struggled to use it – you need to practise your technique if you haven't used such equipment before.
-
I've tested various fire lighting methods and this seems to be the most reliable. The magnesium ignites quickly and strongly, making the job much easier. You just need to scrape off a bit to get the right effect. I recommend it.
-
Useful in various situations. It's very easy to generate a spark.
-
It sparks well. However, I’m more used to the rod-type firesteels. I bought this one to try it out. It’s best to strike it with a knife. It’s a pity the keychain is short, but it can be used to start a fire.
