Badger Outdoor Fireblock fire starter really worth attention at this price, for making sparks it's better to use a knife because the included plate doesn't perform the best.
Badger Outdoor Fireblock Fire Starter
Magnesium fire starter designed for quick and effective lighting of a fire. It is ideal for camping, survival trips and in emergency situations. It facilitates lighting a fire, starting a gas or tourist stove, providing a reliable source of heat and a way to prepare meals in the open air.
Magnesium block - guaranteed fire
The product consists of a magnesium block integrated with a flint rod. The set also includes a spark generator made of a serrated metal plate and a ball chain that connects the spark generator to the block and allows the set to be attached to keys or a backpack. Its compact size allows for comfortable transportation, even in a trouser pocket.
Easy to use
Simply scrape the magnesium shavings from the block with the aid of the flint, the back of a knife or any other sharp-edged tool. Then, the sparks produced by the flint rod should be directed at the accumulated shavings, causing them to ignite. Small, lightweight, and works properly. The sparks are at a good level. I haven't tried the magnesium yet – from the reviews, I see it's better not to test it at home due to the smoke. Better to have it than not – it will work well in emergency situations as a reliable fire source, I recommend buying it.

The chain is definitely too short, but besides that, I have no other complaints. It lights fires very well, perfect even for beginners. There’s never enough fire starters—recommended!
-
The chain holding the plate is definitely too short. The rod is narrow and probably won't last long. To start a campfire with this fire starter, you need practice and to develop proper technique if you haven't used similar equipment before. I bought it to help my son start fires and he manages well.

The fire starter is okay, it gives off good sparks. However, the chain holding the striker is definitely too short, and the striker itself is too soft and bends easily.

Thanks to this fire starter, you can light a campfire even after coming out of the water. The magnesium is very efficient, and after scraping off some shavings, you get a strong flame that easily ignites finely chopped wood. Recommended! Small but gives plenty of fire power. I don’t recommend striking it indoors because the shavings leave a lot of soot, which makes cleaning up a hassle.
-
The fire starter is decent, light, and quite small, so you can take it anywhere. The plate is okay, but it's easiest to spark with the back of a knife. The rod itself is not big, but the advantage is the block of magnesium you can scrape off and use as tinder.
-
With the attached plate, the fire starter gives a good shower of sparks. The rod is narrow and likely won't last long, but it still allows you to start a fire effectively.
-
Very good value for money. There's a lot of magnesium, the rod isn't very thick, but it's quite decent. Cool gift idea for an outdoor enthusiast. Doesn't take up much space and works reliably. I recommend it.

When choosing a cheaper fire starter, remember that a low price does not always mean poor quality. Some cheap models work well enough, though they may be less durable or effective in different conditions. I classify this one among good and cheap products—it's easy to use and lets you start a fire quickly.
-
This is my second fire starter of this type – it works well, and the included plate is handy for scraping magnesium. The fire starter's core is about 4 mm in diameter, set in magnesium, so it doesn't last very long, but for this price it's okay. I recommend it.
-
This is my first fire starter for lighting a fire. At first I had trouble using it—it takes some practice if you haven’t handled such equipment before.
-
I’ve tested various fire starting methods and this one seems the most reliable. The magnesium ignites quickly and strongly, which makes the job much easier. You just need to scrape off a bit to get the right effect. I recommend it.
-
Useful in various situations. You can spark it very easily.

Sparks well. However, I'm more used to the rod-type fire starters. I bought this one to try it out. It's best to spark with a knife. It's a pity the keychain is short, but you can still use it to start a fire.
