Alpinus Tarfala Backpack 35 l - Blue
A spacious 35-litre backpack made of durable 420D nylon, designed with functionality and comfort in mind. The design includes two main compartments closed with sturdy zips. The first one has three internal dividers that help keep your gear organised. The spacious pocket in the second compartment is perfect for carrying a 47 x 24 cm laptop or tablet, protecting them during travel.
Numerous zipped pockets
Numerous zipped pockets increase organisational possibilities. There is a handy pocket on the front, as well as a top pocket and a pocket built into the hip belt — all zipped. Additionally, there are elastic side pockets and an open compartment at the front of the backpack.
Comfortable carrying system, ADS ventilation system
The comfortable carrying system has been designed with ergonomics in mind – soft, adjustable shoulder straps allow you to adjust both the length and angle of inclination. A wide hip belt and chest strap ensure even weight distribution, increasing carrying comfort. The chest strap buckle has a built-in emergency whistle, useful in emergency situations. The ADS (Alpinus Dry System) ventilation system promotes air circulation, improving comfort during intense activity.
Compression straps, Integrated rain cover
Compression straps allow you to adjust the volume of the backpack, and side elastic cords with stoppers allow you to securely attach additional equipment. Alpinus Safety reflective details increase the user's visibility after dark. Alpinus is a European outdoor brand with a rich history, founded in 1990 by distinguished Himalayan climbers – Artur Hajzer, Janusz Majer and Ryszard Warecki. From the very beginning, its mission was to create reliable clothing and equipment for people who actively spend time in the outdoors. As one of the pioneering brands in Poland, Alpinus introduced clothing with a Gore-Tex membrane to its range, setting new quality standards. After a period of absence, the brand returned to the market, combining its mountaineering heritage with modern technologies and an environmentally responsible approach to production. It is now recognised by both professionals and enthusiasts of outdoor expeditions.

The large capacity is perfect for longer journeys. The backpack is comfortable to carry, fits well to the back, and has a practical arrangement of compartments. It is made of durable, abrasion-resistant material.
-
Very good backpack for beginner users. The carrying system is comfortable and works great during mountain trips. The only downside is the capacity, which turns out to be smaller than stated by the manufacturer.
-
Overall, it's a decent and convenient backpack, but there are two serious drawbacks: - It's nowhere near 35 litres, it's actually two times smaller; - Carrying an iPad in the dedicated pocket is worrying, because the back support system is basically a concave sheet of metal. If I had known this, I wouldn't have bought it.
-
The shoulder straps and the ventilated mesh are very well designed, making the backpack very comfortable even when fully packed. However, the volume doesn’t seem to reach 35L and the storage compartments are a bit narrow.
-
The backpack is generally fine, but its capacity is much smaller than the declared 35 litres – compared to the Wisport 303 backpack with a 30-litre capacity, this one seems to have maybe around 20 litres. The pockets are very narrow, suitable only for, for example, a thin newspaper. The main pocket is very tight, as are the others. In the second compartment, they could add more small pockets for bits and pieces.

Excellent comfort, seems sturdy; I think it will become my favourite bag for short walks in the forest. BUT, I share the opinion of another user, I don't think it can hold 35 litres, I would say between 25 and 30 litres. I am very happy with my purchase.👍

I have recently been using the Tarfala 35L backpack. Previously, I used the Alpinus Lecco 30L. I really value backpacks from this brand for their solid workmanship, good materials, comfort and ergonomics – above all thanks to the well-thought-out pocket arrangement, their number, and durability. I am deducting one star for, in my opinion, the overstated capacity. The Tarfala holds noticeably less than the Lecco, even though according to the manufacturer it is supposed to have a larger capacity. This may be due to the frame with mesh (great for summer) and the space taken up by the rain cover. Comparing both models, assuming the Lecco really has 30 litres, the Tarfala offers about 25 litres of actual capacity. Aside from this issue, it is an excellent backpack. I use it daily for cycling over a distance of 25 km and it is the most comfortable model I've used. Military style backpacks do not match the Tarfala in terms of comfort for everyday use. I definitely recommend it, but you should be aware of the actual capacity.
