I was positively surprised by several aspects. Firstly, the manufacturer included a free case with the set. Secondly, the kettle actually weighs only 164 grams (175 with the cover), which is much less than stated in the description. Thirdly, the manufacturer anticipates that the kettle can be used as a pot and indicates in the brochure what types of acidic foods should not be stored in it for long. Fourthly, the declared capacity of 1000 ml is accurate – I managed to pour in even 1040 ml. Less positive points: 1) When boiling 1000 ml of water, the lid can pop up and water spills out through the spout. This doesn’t bother me, as I usually boil less water. 2) The build quality is average – in my piece, the spout tube is unevenly cut, which in theory could damage something during transport. 3) The handle gets hot when the kettle is full; a glove comes in handy. 4) The shape of the handle doesn’t make it easy to hang the kettle. To be fair, I have rarely used such a feature during my years outdoors, but if someone needed to remove a full kettle from a campfire, they would have to use two sticks like with a classic pot with lugs. The kettle itself is typical. I couldn't determine the place of manufacture – ALB (the Czech manufacturer) emphasises that it produces in the Czech Republic, but who really knows? Competing Asian products are 2-3 times more expensive. As with any cookware, you need to watch the temperature: aluminium melts at 660 degrees Celsius, stainless steel at 1400. The kettle can be used on a campfire, but caution is required – it is worth reading about identifying temperature by colour. For frequent fire boiling, steel kettles of a different shape are better (they handle soot better and don’t absorb odours). Who is it for? Optimal for 2-3 people or for one person looking for a universal vessel with a focus on kettle function (a one-litre pot weighs similarly, but the convenience of pouring into a mug is completely different).
