I was pleasantly surprised by several aspects. First of all, the manufacturer included a carrying case as a free gift. Secondly, the kettle actually weighs only 164 grams (175 with the case), which is much less than stated in the description. Thirdly, the manufacturer notes that the kettle can be used as a pot and even mentions in the brochure what types of acidic foods shouldn't be stored in it for too long. Fourth, the declared capacity of 1000 ml is accurate—I was able to pour in even 1040 ml. On the less positive side: 1) When boiling 1000 ml of water, the lid sometimes jumps and water spills out through the spout. This doesn't bother me, as I usually boil less water. 2) The build quality is average—in my unit, the spout tube is cut unevenly, which in theory could damage something during transport. 3) The handle gets hot when the kettle is full; a glove will come in handy. 4) The handle shape doesn't make it easy to hang the kettle. To be fair, in many years of outdoor use, I've rarely needed this feature, but if someone wanted to remove a full kettle from a campfire, they'd need to use two sticks like with a classic pot with handles. The kettle itself is typical. I couldn't determine the place of production—ALB (the Czech manufacturer) emphasizes that they produce in the Czech Republic, but who knows for sure? Competing Asian products are 2–3 times more expensive. As with any cookware, you should be careful with temperature: aluminum melts at 660 degrees Celsius, stainless steel at 1400. You can use the kettle on a campfire, but caution is needed—it's worth reading about identifying temperature by color. For frequent open fire use, steel kettles of a different shape are better (they handle soot better and don’t absorb odors). Who is it for? It's optimal for 2–3 people, or for one person looking for a universal piece of cookware with an emphasis on the kettle function (a one-liter pot weighs about the same, but pouring into a cup is much more convenient).
