I recommend this waist bag – it’s quite large, capacious and well-designed. It proved itself during a long trip; you can fit a lot of things inside (e.g. phone, wallet, large power bank, cables, snacks). The main zip is solid and large, and the workmanship is of a high standard, as you’d expect from Wisport. For me, the strap held well and I had no problems with loosening, and the safeguards effectively protect against the straps sliding out. The pockets are also very well designed. The buckles are solid and won’t accidentally come undone. The only difficulty is reaching the small pocket by the belt when wearing the bag, but you can store less frequently used items there. Overall, the waist bag does its job very well. I recommend it.
Wisport Gekon Waist Bag - MAPA
Made from Cordura, a spacious, durable, and reliable waist bag capable of holding all necessary accessories, eliminating the need to carry them in trouser pockets or in a larger bag or backpack.
Spacious main compartment, 2 pockets
Features a main compartment and 2 pockets:
- main compartment secured with a two-way zipper
- front pocket also with a two-way zipper
- rear flat pocket (closest to the hip) with a one-way zipper

At the ends of the two-way zippers are paracord loops, which mute the jingle of the zippers and can function as spare straps. The main compartment zipper is covered with a strip to prevent dirt accumulation.
MOLLE/PALS system
On the pocket front, on both sides, and on the back panel are sewn MOLLE/PALS attachment system straps - an array of inch-wide straps sewn every inch. The rear straps allow for attaching the Gekon to a backpack with a similar strap system, while the front straps permit the carrying of items with urgent need.

Camouflage MAPA
The MAPA camouflage pattern was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, the author of, among other publications, Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdańsk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of accouterment and uniforms by Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armaments Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the wz.93 camouflage. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented to date as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army.
The main features of MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant
- 6 colors forming layers resembling levels on a map
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows
- deformation of the masked silhouette using macro pattern
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern
The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects it is more advanced than them, and also better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn.

The only advantage of this waist bag is its nice appearance. The carrying strap is sturdy, but it's made of slippery material, and with buckles that don't lock the strap in place, it doesn't provide safe wearing. During use, the strap gets looser and looser, which may cause it to unfasten and the whole thing with its contents to be lost. There are many pockets here, but most are not very practical – I removed the inner mesh one because it made it difficult to put in larger items, everything gets tangled up in it. In my opinion, it's not worth it, especially at this price.

The Wisport Gekon is a surprisingly spacious waist bag. It's great for a phone, wallet, multitool or a portion of beef jerky. Excellent both for cycling, for the city, and for survival. Well worth recommending.
-
The Gekon bumbag is a durable and comfortable choice for everyday use – everything has its place. The only thing I missed was a special place for keys, which would improve security.

The Gekon bumbag is very well made, comfortable and excellent for everyday use. Everything is at hand and in its place. The only thing missing is a special key ring for extra security.

The bum bag is very well made. I have been using it for some time now and I am very satisfied with the purchase. The product is durable and has quite a large capacity. The MAPA camouflage looks much better in person than in the photos. I highly recommend it.

The Wisport waist pack is spacious enough to fit all necessary items like your phone, keys or food. The waterproof material protects the contents even in the rain. The strap is easy to adjust, which makes it comfortable to wear. I wholeheartedly recommend this product!
-
It stands out for its solid construction and durable materials. The waist bag is big and holds a lot, which is ideal for longer trips. The downside is the loosening straps, so it's worth securing them well.
-
I bought it as a replacement for the Helikon Bandicoot. The wide straps and numerous pockets are a plus for Wisport. It fits better even when it’s stuffed with various EDC items. I definitely recommend it.
-
Great bumbag made from Cordura. It’s spacious and looks good, though it’s not one of the smallest – worth bearing in mind when choosing this model. Wisport products are really durable – I’ve had two of their rucksacks for years and they’re practically showing no signs of wear. I definitely recommend it.

The waist bag is very well sewn, very nice. Ideal both for everyday use and more demanding applications. I recommend it to everyone, definitely worth buying.

The product is very solidly made and very spacious – ideal for rescue work, fitting a stethoscope and basic equipment, but it's also suitable for everyday use: you can store your phone, keys, or documents. It is equipped with a thick, durable strap and a Velcro patch for badges. Highly recommend!

It has plenty of space and many pockets.

An excellent bumbag with many pockets and Velcro fastenings; although it has become more expensive, I would buy it again.
