I put it on the outer loop of my Helikon Bandicoot waist bag, which makes it easier to attach carabiners without having to thread them through the loop. I'm sure it will work well in a backpack too.

Handy gadget. The cut-out on the back makes it easy to attach to rubber straps of various organisers or onto a Molle system, and when combined with a carabiner, it allows you to secure more valuable items from being lost. You can also sew it onto a strap.

A useful addition to a belt or backpack, it can be used to attach various items. I bought it as a spare for my Sparrow backpack and it works very well. Solidly made and inexpensive.
