Wiley X Alpine Tactical Glasses - Captivate Polarized Tungsten Mirror/Matte Black/Tan
Tactical glasses in Matte Black/Tan are equipped with lenses made from Selenite polycarbonate, using modern Captivate technology, and lightweight, durable polymer frames. Rubber contact points, including nose pads and temple tips, improve stability and ensure secure positioning during movement. The model is suitable for outdoor use in sunny conditions and bright lighting.
visors with Selenite polycarbonate, Captivate technology
The 2.5 mm thick lenses are made from shatterproof Selenite polycarbonate, which offers 100% protection against harmful solar radiation (UVA, UVB). The Captivate technology ensures even light reaches the eye, balancing the spectrum of visible light. The neutral colour tone is retained while enhancing greens. Reduced glare and improved contrast and colour in the outdoor environment offer protection against harmful ultraviolet UVA and UVB, and blue light (HEV).
The lenses are coated with Oleophobic, preventing the accumulation of dust, dirt, oil, snow, and water, making them much easier to clean compared to standard lenses without a coating. T-Shell coating provides scratch resistance.
contoured frames, anti-slip temples
Anatomically contoured frames and lenses are crafted with HVP technology (High Velocity Protection). They protect the eyes from high-velocity object injuries. The frames are made from durable polymer. Their curved shape (Active 8) ensures a good fit without losing comfort when using headphones or hearing protectors. Rubber, anti-slip semi-hook temples and the nose pad keep the glasses stable on the face. Venturi Suction technology prevents fogging, even during intense activity.
safety standards
- ANSI Z87.1+ (High Mass Protection) - according to this standard, the frame and lenses must withstand the impact of a 0.5 kg object falling from a height of about 130 centimetres.
- ANSI Z87.1+ (High Velocity Protection) - according to this standard, the frame and visor must withstand the impact of a 6.35 mm diameter steel ball moving at 164.6 km/h (45 m/s).
- MIL-PRF 32432A - according to this standard, the frame and visor must withstand fragment impacts at a steel fragment velocity of approximately 768–796 km/h (about 213–221 m/s) without lens penetration or detachment of elements that could injure the user.

Selenite visors are made of unbreakable polycarbonate, which provides high visual clarity and UV protection.
T-Shell is a coating on Wiley X glasses that resists scratches, protects lenses from damage and extends their life.
Captivate lens technology is an advanced filter system used in sunglasses that aims to improve the quality of vision by filtering out harmful light and improving color perception and contrast.
The Oleophobic coating repels dirt, oil, water and other substances, so the lenses stay cleaner and easier to maintain. The technology makes the lenses more durable and comfortable to wear.
MIL-PRF-32432 is an American military standard for glasses and goggles, including corrective glasses. According to this standard, a set of glasses should include spare lenses, a case, an instruction manual, a cleaning cloth and a strap, depending on the type of set. Goggles must also have a protective case in the set. Glasses and goggles must be compatible with a corrective insert. The standard specifies the goggles' ability to withstand impact from a .15-inch (3.8 mm) steel bullet weighing 0.376 grams at 200 m/s. In the case of goggles, the impact resistance of a .22-caliber bullet fired at a velocity of approximately 170 m/s.
According to this standard, the frame and visor of the glasses must withstand the impact of a steel BBs weighing 0.5 kg falling from a height of 127 centimeters.
According to this standard, the frame and visor of the glasses can withstand the impact of a 6.35 mm diameter steel BBs traveling at 45 m/s (164.6 km/h).
