I tested them during a 20 km march at -8 degrees, wearing summer MON shoes and Woolpower 600 socks – my feet stayed dry, without chafing, and I was warm during both the march and rests (the WP 600 socks also contributed greatly to this). Moisture was well managed. Towards the end of the march, I felt that the inside of the shoe became damp, and the sock perhaps slightly as well, as I felt a chill in one of my big toes. Perhaps in other shoes the final result would have been better, so overall my rating is good. I intend to test other options as well.
