I bought the Tickless Run mainly for my dog, but also for myself, as it was supposed to work within a 2.5-metre range. However, after walks, I still had to remove ticks from my dog and nothing changed after attaching the device – I'm still pulling ticks out as before. In my opinion, this device does not work and it's a waste of money; over 200 PLN would be better spent on other tick-repellent products.

TickLess - ultrasonic tick repeller is a small, handy device that emits 40 kHz ultrasonic sound, inaudible to humans and pets, to effectively repel ticks. Ultrasonic sound interferes with the host's ability to orient and target by blocking ticks' sensory receptors. This causes them to be unable to distinguish potential prey from their surroundings.
Tickless Run has been designed for runners. The repeller is perfect for running in the woods, spending time in the allotment, fishing, camping, bushcraft expeditions and any other outdoor activity when you are vulnerable to tick bites.
Ticks use the Haller organ located on the foot of the first leg to identify potential prey. The ultrasound emitted from the device effectively blocks ticks from receiving stimuli from this sensory organ. The range of the device is about 2.5 meters, which provides effective protection. The TickLess Run device should be worn attached to the shoe laces to ensure free propagation of the ultrasonic waves.
Ticks carry dangerous human diseases such as Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis. By using TickLess ultrasonic repeller, you minimize the risk of being bitten, and thus infected and seriously ill.
The device is completely harmless to the environment, emits no chemicals and is convenient to use. Before using it for the first time, you need to charge the battery (Li-Ion, micro USB) and then hold the button longer. Four flashes of the LED indicate that TickLess has been turned on and is working. Red indicates that the battery charge level is below 30%. The device can be turned off with a quick press of the button three times, indicated by a double blink of the LED. Operating time is 7-14 days on a fully charged battery.
The device features a night locating function (fast flashing LED) turned on/off by holding down the button for a long time.
TickLess is completely harmless to pregnant women, young children, people with pacemakers and the elderly, making it an excellent alternative to chemical repellents, which can cause allergic reactions in some cases.
It is made of durable plastic and is moisture resistant according to IP13, but direct contact with water should be avoided.

I bought Tickless Run and Active and I must admit it was a complete failure. Recently I tested them in the field and came back from the forest with eight ticks, and my wife, despite also using tickless, had six ticks. I decided to buy them because I had read favourable reviews, which turned out not to be true in reality. Instead of reducing the use of chemical agents, I reduced my budget by more than 400 PLN. In conclusion: it's not worth it and I definitely do not recommend it.

This is the second gadget of this brand I've bought – the first was a pendant for people without a charging option. Throughout the whole tick season I didn’t catch a single tick, so I think the device does its job. The smaller version was bought with the intention of attaching it to my dog’s collar and I hope it will be just as effective as the larger one. I also consider the option to turn on the light a plus, as it improves visibility after dark.

The battery lasts about 3-4 weeks. It seems to work on ticks, but I am not 100% sure because I haven't exactly compared the situation with and without this device.
