I bought Tickless run mainly for my dog, but also for myself, as it was supposed to work within a radius of 2.5 meters. However, after walks, I still had to remove ticks from my dog and nothing changed after attaching the device – I keep pulling out ticks as before. In my opinion, this device does not work and it’s a waste of money; it's better to spend over 200 PLN on other tick repellents.

TickLess - ultrasonic tick repeller is a compact and portable device that releases 40 kHz ultrasonic sound, undetectable by humans and animals, to effectively ward off ticks. This ultrasonic sound disrupts the tick's ability to navigate and locate by obstructing their sensory receptors, rendering them unable to differentiate potential hosts from the surroundings.
Tickless Run is tailored for runners. This repeller is ideal for activities like running in forests, spending time in gardens, fishing, camping, bushcraft trips, and any other outdoor adventure where tick bites are a risk.
Ticks employ the Haller's organ on the first leg to detect prey. The ultrasonic waves emitted by the device effectively impede the tick's reception of signals from this sensory organ. With a range of approximately 2.5 meters, it offers effective protection. TickLess Run should be affixed to shoelaces to ensure optimal ultrasonic wave distribution.
Ticks are vectors for severe human diseases such as Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis. Utilizing the TickLess ultrasonic repeller significantly reduces the likelihood of tick bites, and consequently, the risk of infection and serious illness.
The device is environmentally safe, producing no chemicals, and is user-friendly. Initial use requires a battery charge (Li-Ion, micro USB), followed by a prolonged button press. Four LED flashes signal activation of the device. A red light indicates the battery is below 30% charged. To turn off the device, press the button quickly three times, confirmed by a double LED blink. On a full charge, it operates for 7-14 days.
Equipped with a night locating function (fast blinking LED), activated/deactivated by holding the button down for an extended period.
TickLess poses no risk to pregnant women, young children, individuals with pacemakers, and the elderly, making it a great alternative to chemical repellents which can cause allergic reactions.

I bought Tickless Run and Active, and I must admit it was a complete flop. Recently, I tested them outdoors and returned from the forest with eight ticks, and my wife, even though she also used Tickless, had six ticks. I decided to buy it because I read positive reviews, which turned out not to be true in practice. Instead of reducing the use of chemical repellents, I reduced my budget by over 400 PLN. To sum up: it's not worth it and I definitely do not recommend it.

This is the second gadget of this brand that I have bought – the first was a pendant for people without a charging option. During the whole tick season, I didn't catch a single tick, so I believe the device does its job. The smaller version was bought with the intention of attaching it to my dog's collar, and I hope it will be as effective as the larger one. Another plus is the ability to turn on the light, which improves visibility after dark.

The battery lasts about 3-4 weeks. It seems to work on ticks, but I'm not one hundred percent sure because I haven't compared the situation closely with and without the device.
