I was wondering whether to buy the more expensive Helikon model or this product. Since my friends have the one from Helikon, I decided to test this version and, to my surprise, the quality of the material and workmanship are almost the same. Additionally, a plus is the zipper by the hood, fastenings and eyelets allowing the use as a tarp, etc. I recommend it!

I recommend this poncho, thin and light—it can be used in the rain, it doesn't get in the way and doesn’t soak through, and it fits in the pocket of cargo trousers. The only downside is the small hood: it’s OK on a bare head, but with a cap it gets tight. Despite that, I’m satisfied, it serves its purpose.

A decent poncho with high waterproofing of 5000 mm/m2. Buttons require some force, and the head opening is narrow, but the poncho itself is wide. Despite these minor flaws, I think the product is worth recommending.

I don't understand the positive reviews – in my opinion, most people have not used this poncho in practice. I've had it for about 2 years, tested it during various rainfalls and I have to say, I do not recommend it. Firstly, although it's made of ripstop, it tears easily when undoing the poppers (I had to sew on ordinary buttons afterwards). Secondly, the poppers rust quickly, are hard to fasten and are very delicate. The most important thing is that, after a longer time in the rain, the poncho starts to soak through and offers no protection – everything underneath gets wet. It's only suitable for light rain before the material soaks through, which is definitely not enough for a typical rain poncho costing 130 PLN. Recently, after a few hours in the rain, my uniform was completely soaked. I do not recommend this product – it's a waste of money.

For people over 190 cm, it’s too short. The snaps are quite weak—after one connection with the Helikon poncho, they became deformed. The biggest downside is the tight hood, which you can't take off your head easily—the opening is too small. The main plus: extremely compact size with very good waterproofing and Polish camouflage. I’m looking for a poncho without these flaws now.

The wide and loose cut of the poncho allows you to put it on over any kind of clothing and headgear, even with a backpack or other equipment. Unfortunately, the hood is very small and doesn't fit over a helmet, hence I’m knocking off one star. When folded, the poncho takes up remarkably little space.

Review after about two years of use. The poncho is very light and more waterproof than most other military models (I used the original USGI 20 years ago, then MilTec, later British army, and recently ultralight Texar, but that one tore in strong wind – both mine and my wife's). This poncho is slightly smaller and the material is thinner (so far I haven't seen this negatively affect its durability). It saved us during a few downpours and hailstorms in the Karkonosze Mountains, and also survived a very strong storm with rain in Rondane, Norway, so it works well even in harsh conditions. It still protects well enough against rain. I know there are better models, but they cost twice as much – in my opinion this model has a very good price-to-quality ratio. I'd rather replace the poncho every few years than wear one burned from sparks for a decade.

The poncho is very lightweight and seems truly waterproof. Durable eyelets allow it to be used as a compact tarp. If the hood is well tied, it doesn't leak. Combining two provides quite a large tarp surface. Ripstop material is sturdy. It easily fits in a medium molle 7x3 pocket, and the transport bag could be even smaller.
