Terra Nova Helm Compact 2 2-person tent

A two-person igloo tent designed to minimise pack weight while maintaining durability and effective protection against harsh weather conditions. The dome structure, combined with the use of robust materials, provides reliable shelter in various environments and changing weather.

The design allows for easy handling and quick setup. The frame system, featuring two Superflex poles, ensures the flysheet stays taut and stable, while the well-designed interior makes it easy to organise space both inside the tent and in the vestibule.

The flysheet made of 68D Rip-Stop polyester offers water resistance of 4000 mm/m2, effectively shielding against rain and wind. The use of solution-dyed fabric, free from PFCs, increases UV resistance and extends the fabric's lifespan.

The groundsheet is made from abrasion-resistant 75D polyester, tough enough for varied terrain. The inner walls, crafted from 68D Rip-Stop polyester, combine high mechanical strength with long-lasting performance, even under intensive use.

Both the flysheet and groundsheet feature a PFC-free hydrophobic coating, improving moisture resistance. The Rip-Stop structure minimises the risk of further mechanical damage, such as abrasions or small tears, resulting in greater durability during camping trips.

The igloo tent, built on two Superflex aluminium poles, provides excellent rigidity and stability in the field. The free-standing design allows it to be pitched on a range of surfaces, and the carefully selected materials achieve the ideal balance between light weight and strength. Easy Pitch and Easy Pack systems let you set up and pack away the tent quickly and with ease.

The option to pitch using trekking poles lets you reduce the amount of kit you need to carry and simplifies assembling your camping set. Not needing extra frame components is a major benefit when packing lightweight equipment.

The sleeping compartment, sized 222 x 120 x 100 cm, has been designed to provide comfortable space for one person with essential gear. This layout allows you to spread out your equipment and organise the interior freely. Two entrances and two vestibules make it easy to store kit outside the sleeping area.

Mesh panels incorporated into the design enable you to adjust airflow depending on weather conditions. Located in the doors, they effectively vent moisture and improve air circulation inside the tent.

This solution helps reduce condensation, especially during cold nights or significant temperature differences, and allows you to adjust ventilation levels – from full airflow to partial closure for better wind protection.

Reflective yellow guy lines boost visibility after dark and reduce the risk of tripping. The lightweight construction – 2480 g – and compact packed size (32 x 20 x 20 cm) make it easy to stow in a rucksack. The design has been optimised to ensure maximum ease of transport.
