A great tool for beginners to maintain a consistent angle while sharpening knives and at the same time train muscle memory. The guide rail fits snugly on the spine of the knife and reliably serves its purpose. The only note: moving the rail can cause scratches on the knife, but that personally does not bother me.

Works well with thin knives, less so with thicker ones – it's suitable for specific knife models. Quality of workmanship is without complaint, but it's better to learn to sharpen by hand straight away. A good choice for starters.

The product fulfils its function well, it is well made and matches the description. Although I prefer manual sharpening, I wanted to try it and sometimes use it – it makes the job much easier. Highly recommended.
