A one-person travel comforter made from light nylon material, filled with duck down. Unlike traditional sleeping bags, it has a rectangular shape that allows greater freedom of movement. The model can be used on its own or in combination with a sleeping bag.
Temperatures and usage conditions
The usage temperatures of the Sea To Summit Tanami Down Comforter are determined according to the EN 13537 standard:
- T-comfort: +11 deg. C - the minimum temperature at which a woman can spend the night in comfort,
- T-limit: +7 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which a man can sleep without feeling cold.
Durable nylon material, DWR coating
The outer layer made of 30D nylon ensures resistance to mechanical damage and limits moisture absorption. The material has PFAS-free DWR waterproofing, which enhances its resistance to moisture condensation in a tent or camper.
The inner lining made of 45D nylon with a textured surface is soft and pleasant to the touch. The special material structure prevents the comforter from moving during sleep, enhancing user comfort and keeping it in place on a mat or mattress.
650+ down filling with Ultra-Dry Down coating
The thermal insulation is provided by high-quality 650+ cuin duck down, offering a favourable heat-to-weight insulation ratio. The down's loft means a small amount can create a large volume of insulating air, resulting in high insulating effectiveness with minimal sleeping bag weight.
The down undergoes an Ultra-Dry Down treatment, which is a hydrophobic waterproofing that reduces moisture absorption and speeds up drying. This technology allows the insulation properties to be maintained in high-humidity environments without compromising breathability or down durability.
The material used also has an RDS - Responsible Down Standard certification, confirming that the down is sourced with respect for animal welfare and full traceability in the supply chain.

The comforter is equipped with a cuff at the foot end, allowing it to be fitted to a camping mat. This solution helps reduce heat loss and prevents the comforter from slipping off during sleep. The QuiltLock system allows it to be attached to a compatible Sea To Summit sleeping bag. The system uses loops and attachment points to secure the comforter to the sleeping bag without zips. QuiltLock is designed not to restrict freedom of movement whilst sleeping, yet prevents the comforter from shifting during use. Transport is further facilitated by the included compression bag.
