Savotta Multi-PurPose Foam Mat

Multi-purpose mat, designed for use with the Savotta Jaakari S backpack, where it acts as a reinforcement for the carrying system, enhancing carrying comfort. When removed from the backpack, it works well as a seat, kneeling mat or for laying out equipment in the field, and can even serve as a mouse pad.

Due to its compact dimensions and lightweight construction, this model easily fits into gear and does not cause excessive baggage weight.

Cordura

1000D Cordura, elastic foam, rubber coating

The external layer of the mat is made from durable 1000D Cordura material, ensuring resistance to abrasion and intensive use in the field. The centre consists of elastic foam with closed cells (4 mm), providing effective insulation from the cold. The bottom is covered with a waterproof rubber coating, which ensures optimal grip.

    I have multiples of these, I store one in the rear slip of my packs so I always have extra insulation for camp tasks, saves damage to your knees and handles the damp conditions well, great kit at a reasonable price

    The mat was tested during an expedition in rainy conditions. I used it as a seat on a wet, fallen log and as protection for my knees on damp ground. It got very dirty, but after washing it at home, there were no visible signs of use. I definitely recommend it.

    Simply a magical mat. I often want to get out into nature; for fishing, barbecues. In general, I don’t regret buying it at all. While fishing, I put it in the dirt, and it hardly gets dirty, dries very quickly, has great insulation. I use it to fan the coals. Nothing happens to it, it keeps its shape. Some kind of magical materials. Highly recommend, the mat is worth the money!

    I have, for now, only the Jääkäri L. But I can easily recommend the mat even without the backpack. Personally, I use it as a pad for everything. It hasn't seen the outdoors and probably never will. For sitting, I have a larger one from Savotta, which is, in my opinion, more practical – you just flip it over with the dirty side down. But you can certainly use this smaller one too. I'm considering buying a second one.

    Purchased this for my Savotta Jaakari S so I don’t get stabbed in the back by anything I might be carrying rather than to use it as a sit pad. For my purpose the pad fits perfectly into the Savotta Jaakari S and it doesn’t add much weight either. As with all Savotta products the quality is extremely high and the price is reasonable.
