Savotta Laavu Camping Tarp - Green
Olive-coloured camping tarp with dimensions of 275 x 275 cm is characterised by a clever design that guarantees the correct tension of the canopy, providing protection from rain and other precipitation. The tarp can be hung on its own or over a hammock, creating a comfortable and safe space for relaxation.
durable material with a PU coating
The tarp is made from strong 70D polyamide enhanced with a Rip-Stop weave, which reduces the risk of further material damage after it is compromised. The fabric is highly tear-resistant and suitable for intense outdoor use. The material has a PU hydrophobic coating, protecting against water. Taped seams increase the structure's tightness, preventing moisture from penetrating inside.
17 durable fastening loops
The tarp can be spread out in a variety of ways, using ropes or paracord and surrounding elements such as trees, rocks or natural depressions. The tarp has a total of 17 fixing loops, located centrally as well as in the corners and along the edges. This allows different spacing options to be configured, adapting the structure to the terrain, the weather and the user's current requirements.

MILITARY is a premium dealer of Savotta.
Savotta is a Finnish family company from Karstula which, since 1955, has been designing and manufacturing backpacks, bags, tents and field kit for the military, rescue services and people who value time in the field. The brand's kit has been supplied to the Finnish Defence Forces continuously since the 1960s, meeting the rigorous standards required of military equipment. Savotta builds its products with durability in mind, which is why it uses top-tier materials such as Cordura, and almost all raw materials (97%) come from suppliers within the European Union. The brand also stands out for its own proprietary solutions: the Rapid Adjustment Slider instant adjustment system, frames made from polyethylene sheets and laser-cut PALS/MOLLE-compatible attachment points. Every design is created in Finland, and all manufacturing remains within the borders of the European Union. Along with growing interest, the brand expanded production - since 2025 its products have been made in three countries: Finland, Estonia and Poland. Regardless of where a given item was manufactured, it undergoes final quality control at the Finnish headquarters in Karstula.

This is a really successful camping tarp. It has been well made, the material feels strong and durable, and the whole thing looks like gear that is well prepared for outdoor use. The ability to set it up in different configurations deserves a lot of praise, as it makes it easy to adapt it to the conditions and location. When folded, it is compact, while when pitched it offers plenty of space and provides effective protection from rain. A simple design, solid quality, and no unnecessary extras. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Typical Savotta quality, nothing to criticise. The price is a bit high, but once you have the tarp in your hands you immediately notice it's worth the money. Every loop is well stitched and compared to other tarps it is very quiet and doesn't rustle. A clear purchase recommendation from me.
