A pleasant, lightweight jacket, although for this price I do have a few reservations. The hood doesn't have a drawstring, so in stronger winds it may slip off your head unless you zip it right up to your chin. There's also no loop for hanging it on a hook, but despite these small drawbacks the jacket serves well as a raincoat and fulfils its basic function.

Salewa Puez Aqua 4 PTX 2,5L Jacket - Black
Softshell jacket in Black, wind- and water-resistant, made from lightweight, durable polyester and equipped with a Powertex 2.5L membrane. The material is additionally coated with a DWR finish (Durable Water Repellent) that enhances water resistance. The design is also complemented by taped seams and a waterproof main zip. The regular fit ensures optimal freedom of movement during activity.

The jacket is made from lightweight and durable polyester, of which 57% comes from recycled materials. The outer layer of the fabric is coated with a DWR finish (Durable Water Repellent), causing water to bead off the surface instead of soaking into the fabric. This solution also increases resistance to dirt and makes the jacket easier to clean. The design is further complemented by taped seams that limit the penetration of water and wind, as well as a waterproof zip.
Powertex 2.5L membrane
The use of the Powertex 2.5L membrane provides water resistance of 10000 mm water column/m2 and breathability of 10000 g/m2. The membrane also wicks moisture to the outside, increasing comfort during activity.
integrated hood, high collar, drawstring
The high collar with integrated hood effectively protects the head and neck from rain and wind. The elastic drawstring with cord lock, located at the bottom of the jacket, allows for a better fit, reduces flapping, and stabilises the garment during movement. The cuffs are adjustable with velcro.

DWR (Durable Water Repellency) is a durable waterproofing treatment that increases the surface tension of water and creates a hydrophobic coating on materials. It protects the material from rapid soaking, improves drying, provides stain resistance and increases breathability.
PowerTex Membrane
PowerTex is a windproof and waterproof polyurethane membrane with high breathability and high durability. The microporous structure prevents water from penetrating inside the footwear, while allowing moisture to drain efficiently from inside, leaving the foot dry.

A very light and comfortable jacket, perfect for cycling or various outdoor trips. When folded, it takes up very little space, so it is practically unnoticeable — ideal for everyday carrying in an EDC. Admittedly, it's not gore-tex, but it performs its function well in the rain.
