Pulsar is a European brand specialising in thermal imaging technology and digital day-and-night optics, belonging to the Yukon Group and headquartered in Lithuania. Its beginnings date back to 1991, when a group of enthusiasts started building the first devices in home conditions. Today, the company employs more than 1200 people and operates in the markets of over 70 countries. All production takes place in Europe, and the brand has gained recognition thanks to innovative solutions such as Dual-Purpose systems, enabling the device to be used both as a monocular and as a scope. The modern character of the range is underlined by the Stream Vision 2 app, which enables wireless connection of devices to a phone via Wi-Fi, offering remote control, image transmission and software updates. In 2005, Yukon Group was the first to introduce digital night vision devices to the civilian market, starting a new stage in the development of consumer optoelectronics. In 2012, the Quantum model was presented – the first mass-produced thermal imaging monocular for civilians, and in 2019 the compact Axion XM30, capable of detecting a human silhouette from a distance of 1350 metres in complete darkness.
