Pentagon LCP Primaloft V2.0 Parka Jacket - Black

Black Softshell jacket designed for users who need effective protection in demanding weather conditions. Made of durable Rip-Stop nylon, equipped with a Storm|Tex membrane with high waterproofing and breathability and PrimaLoft Gold Insulation, it effectively shields against cold, moisture, and wind. An adjustable hood, mesh-lined ventilation openings, and six practical pockets improve comfort during use in difficult terrain. The construction is also designed for operation in low ambient temperatures.

Insulated softshell made of durable Rip-Stop nylon, distinguished by high resistance to mechanical damage and abrasion.

Storm|Tex membrane

The Storm|Tex membrane provides waterproofing at the level of 10 000 mm/m2 and breathability of 8000 g/m2/24h, meeting demanding American standards. These parameters protect against moisture while allowing proper air exchange in difficult weather conditions. The jacket's waterproofing has been further enhanced by taped seams and a two-way zip.

PrimaLoft Gold insulation with Cross Core technology

The insulation layer uses synthetic PrimaLoft Gold insulation with Cross Core technology, which has a grammage of 160 g/m2 in the body and 120 g/m2 on the shoulders. The material uses aerogel fibres, which provide very good thermal insulation at low weight. Hydrophobic properties mean that the material does not lose its insulating performance even when wet. Additionally, it effectively wicks away moisture and is flexible, which helps ensure a good fit for the user.

High-profile collar and adjustable hood

The raised-profile collar protects the neck from wind, while the three-point adjustable hood allows the fit to be adapted to changing weather conditions.

Underarm ventilation with mesh

The ventilation system located under the arms consists of two-way zips and mesh that prevents insects from getting inside. This solution supports air circulation, improving thermal comfort during physical effort.

Six practical pockets

The jacket is equipped with six zipped pockets:

  • Two hip pockets lined with a thin layer of fleece
  • Two shoulder pockets
  • Pocket on the left sleeve near the wrist
  • Internal pocket with an outlet for a headphone cable

Adjustable cuffs and velcro panels

The sleeves feature 13 × 8 cm velcro panels that allow flags, emblems, or customisation patches to be attached. Velcro-adjustable cuffs and wrist straps allow for a better fit of the jacket and increased protection against the cold.

    I am 190 cm tall and weigh 95 kg. I chose size XL and it fits perfectly. However, if you wear the jacket over just a T-shirt, it feels a little big.     I chose size M. I am 170 cm tall and have a small belly. I think size S would also have worked. I consciously chose M because I use this clothing as an insulating layer during stops, worn over other clothes. The size fits perfectly. I have been using it for a month now, in temperatures appropriate for testing. The lowest recorded temperature was -23°C. When it was below -15°C, I wore it over a thermal shirt, 200 fleece and a quilted jacket or down jumper, especially when less active. The quilted jacket was needed because I felt cold. I often also put it under the Pilgrim during hiking with a backpack. Up to -15°C, it works well on its own. The long zips in the side pockets allow you to warm your hands with the hip belt fastened. Ventilation openings positively affect comfort during walks in the snow with a backpack. I am lowering my rating by one star because the hood could have been better designed. Overall, I recommend it.

    You need to be careful that the underarm zip doesn't accidentally come undone, and if the side pockets are open, they also let in air, so in very cold weather you need to make sure everything is fastened properly. The jacket has been tested at -10°C – it is warm!

    Excellent jacket, at -15°C with a jumper on a light fleece, it's brilliant, but only if you’re moving—if you just stand still, you'll freeze. I took size XL for height 182 cm and 85 kg. If you wear it just with a T-shirt, it's a bit big, but it's perfect over a jumper.

    The jacket is great, very warm, looks fantastic and is made of excellent material. Definitely worth recommending. I wear size L at a height of 184 cm and a weight of 90 kg. You can still put on a thin fleece, but at temperatures down to minus 5 degrees it doesn't seem necessary.

    Although the jacket was designed for autumn and mild winter conditions, with appropriate thermal underwear and a thin fleece, it will also work well in severe frosts. The quality of workmanship and materials used are really at a high level. After the price reduction to 699 PLN, it is an offer definitely worth considering. I recommend both the jacket and the Military shop.
