Olight X9R Marauder Rechargeable Torch - 25000 lumens

The packaging is very well made, although I don't understand why there are so many disposable elements (foils, rubbers, papers, plugs, cards), which later pollute the environment. The premium effect is achieved, but for me this marketing is exaggerated. The case is nice, but it could be much smaller – there is a lot of free space in it. The torches themselves (this one, Marauder 2 and mini – I have all of them) are of the highest quality manufacturing, without any complaints. However, it's worth considering if you prefer focused light (the Javelot and Javelot Turbo series are better than the X9R in this regard, because the X9R doesn't have such a mode) or wide – here Marauder 2 or X9R are better. It's also worth considering whether you need enormous power for a few minutes, or a device for longer lighting – at maximum power the X9R is more for demonstration, not suitable for SAR or tactical use (which is why my favourite is the Marauder 2 – it's more practical and handy). At 25 thousand lumens (or even half that power) the air must be super clean, otherwise you'll just see dust and water vapour, and the effectiveness decreases a lot. It's worth thinking about which colour temperature will be suitable, because it may turn out to be limiting, especially in winter in our latitude. It's also not worth looking only at lumens, but at candela levels – this translates into range. For example, the Marauder 2 has twice as much candela, so it shines further. Before buying, it's good to pick up something heavy, because the torch is massive and after a few kilometres of carrying, it may start to feel burdensome despite the comfortable strap. For gadget-lovers it's a great gadget and I'm very satisfied, but as a torch for continuous carrying it's not very practical – it's heavy and with longer use it becomes even more noticeable. In my opinion, it's a bit of a gadget for the sake of being a gadget. It will work perfectly, e.g. in SAR operations from the air or in mountainous areas, and also for night photography. On flat terrain and with a round beam, the area close by is very brightly lit, which causes blinding and worse visibility further away (it's not without reason that in advertising photos of the X9R the light is aimed from rooftops or into the mountains). Lifting the torch up to shine less at your feet is not a solution.

I already have a few Olight torches, but this one completely surprised me. It's definitely worth spending the money on it—the car's high beams are weak in comparison. The case is very sturdy and the car lighter charger works perfectly.

Good morning. I ordered the X9R model and I was expecting a very powerful torch. When I opened the package, the first thing that surprised me was the large, solid case – and the torch itself resembles a spotlight of unimaginable power. Compared to it, car headlights disappear.

What power! The price is not the lowest, but if someone works at night, they will be very satisfied. 100% satisfaction.

The torch is great. Very intense beam of light, a useful and comfortable carrying strap. Unfortunately, it arrived to me without proper protections for the glass and battery.

The torch has been perfectly crafted and can be considered a benchmark among such devices. In my collection, it is currently the most powerful torch. It gives a very strong and relatively diffused light. If you haven’t dealt with such power before, it’s worth seeing for yourself to be convinced. There are already models with more power, but they are not as robustly finished and practical as this one—for example, quick charging without removing the battery. I recommend it, although the price could be a bit lower ;)
