I own an earlier version of this torch and really missed this particular feature – red light adjustment. That’s exactly why I decided to purchase the new model. The button has also been improved – clicks are more distinct and comfortable, and it’s easy to feel even with gloves on. Perona mini torches are excellent. After purchasing, I have rather mixed feelings. I have been using the torch for two weeks. I considered for a long time whether to choose the Olight Perun model. The appearance is excellent, the lighting options, the white and red light modes, and the high brightness are definite advantages, as well as the comfort of wearing it on the band or clipping it onto a belt. However, this is where the advantages end and reservations begin – especially considering the price of the product. I charged the battery according to the instructions immediately after purchase, and after about a week of moderate use, the indicator showed a low level, so I decided to recharge. Unfortunately, when connecting with the included cable to the USB power strip, the torch does not charge – the charger light stays green, but when the torch is plugged in, it goes out and the device does not charge. The same happened when I tried with another charger. Only after connecting directly to another power strip with a USB port did charging start, which suggests that something is wrong here – possibly I received a faulty unit. If the problem persists, I will have to claim the product. Additionally, the battery life is much below expectations, and it seems that the time declared by the producer is exaggerated, unless the battery will settle in over time and improve its performance.

It is light but not plasticky, solid but not chunky, and I am so glad I bought it - the output is astonishing! I grew up in the 60s and 70s, before brightness had been invented, and I did not believe the hype. You really can see for bloody miles! It is so tiny that there is a danger of choking on it when you hold it in your teeth (we've all done it). I had to work up the courage to pay so much for a little tiny torch, and now I'm considering buying one for my wife AND one for the car. The versatility and size make it a winner for me, along with the many settings, including a red-light bright enough to be useful with my old eyes.

This is my favourite Olight torch – it combines a headlamp and an angled torch with the option to choose between white or red light. So far I haven’t noticed any flaws, it works brilliantly.

Great torch, you can use it as a headlamp or attach it with a clip to your clothing or gear. It's small, light, and shines very well. I really like the moonlight mode – it gently illuminates interiors and also works perfectly when walking in the field, as you can see ahead without being dazzled or dealing with strong contrasts. Note 1: the headband has reflective elements, which may be an advantage, but not necessarily – I would prefer if they weren't there. I tried to cover them with a marker and was only partially successful. Note 2: the torch does not work with a standard 16340 battery as the minus is located right next to the plus. The same applies to CR123 batteries – you can't use them, which is a downside, since it would be convenient to have a spare battery in the field. In such situations, you have to carry the dedicated charging cable, which does not fit other devices. Despite these minor flaws, I rate this equipment very highly.
