Easy-to-use, safe, high-performance cleaner for rain gear and clothing. Safely cleans and refreshes breathability and imparts water-repellent properties.
Waterproof clothing and equipment can absorb water because the durable water repellency (DWR) has been weakened by dirt, or because of cleaning with conventional laundry detergents. Dirt attracts water and household detergents leave a water-attracting residue (hydrophilicity), causing the fabric to soak through when used in damp areas.
Use Nikwax Tech Wash® to thoroughly and safely clean waterproof clothing and equipment, to revitalise the DWR (waterproofing) coating and breathability.
If your waterproof gear or clothing is relatively new, or recently treated with a Nikwax waterproofer, then cleaning with Nikwax Tech Wash® will not only remove contaminants, such as dirt and residues left behind by household detergents, but will also refresh the DWR (waterproofing).
Nikwax waterproofing products are WaterBased, non-aerosol, non-flammable, safe and environmentally friendly. They contain no hazardous solvents or volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and are completely free of fluorocarbons (which have been shown to persist in the environment and have been linked to serious health problems).
