I bought the sleeves out of curiosity to test them. The material really does protect against cutting, but a blade easily pierces through it by pushing apart the fibres. In my opinion, it won’t work best for self-defence, unless the attacker warns you that they won’t stab with a knife. ;) In my view, materials like Armortex are a better option.
